Hi parents, wondering if anyone knows whether Temasek Primary’s PV for Yr2019 enrolment has been selected? I applied but have not heard from them…wondering if I wasn’t selected…

      Thanks.

          Hello everyone,

I’m new here. I’m thinking of sending my first daughter to SCGS in a few years’ time. I would appreciate if anyone could help me with the following enquiries:

          1) Does SCGS still have a parent volunteer scheme?

          2) If my daughter is born in 2014, is there a specific year for application for the PVS?

          3) If I’m in the PVS, and also stay within 1km, what are the general chances I’ll get in? Have they historically had ballots for 2B applicants within 1km?

          4) Any feedback from parents of kids in the school? How is the learning environment?

Thanks in advance for your replies, appreciate them.

Question on whether a school has a PV scheme is best to be addressed to the school directly. You should be able to get the school’s contact information from its website.

              2) Typically PV should end before the P-1 registration so for 2014 babies, you should look to apply sometime next year or early 2019 depending on the school's system.

              3) Having done PV and if you stay in 1km, historically the chances are 100%

                Hi,

I am new to this forum and planning to do PV to have a higher chance of enrolling my child to school of choice. I looked at PV forms and some require detailed plan/ proposal. Does anyone have tips to share how to put plan/ proposal together?

                Thanks!

                  Hi all,

Does anyone know if Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary will accept PV applications if we live more than 2km of school now, but will be moving to within 1km before my child's Pri 1 registration?

Anyone able to share what do they look for in Parent volunteers?

                  Thanks alot!

Provided both schools accept u as their PV, Yes.

But where do you find so much time on hand, to clock up the minimum number of hours required, for two schools ?

Yes it’s possible. There’s no rule against that. Btw it doesn’t take much to clock the hours. Eg just 2 hours regularly per week, you can hit the minimum in 20 weeks, that’s half a school year.

That’s assuming the school(s) has such assignments for you. I know some schools like SAJS have.
