They all got different names.

They all got different names, different uniforms, different school badges, different principals... -

Is this question for real? By the way, please try to type all your sentences in 1 post instead of writing multiple posts with 1-liners.
If you leave out 1 question, you can always edit it to add that to the original post. Hope it helps! -

BigDevil:
Hi, would like to check if the registration process still going on (Phase 2C), I register School A (Ngee Ann) on first day of registration. But i find out that there might have balloting due to oversubscribe, can i withdraw and go to School B (Tanjong Katong) next day for registration (Assuming School B is less popular)?oceanicgal:
I'll like to ask about the process for withdrawal. I understand that the parents need to go to the registered school to do the withdrawal using both their ics. How long does it take effect? Is it immediately once we withdraw at school A, we can straightaway go to school B to submit our application? Is it so straightforward? Is there any lag time?
It should be instantaneous as the computers are linked to MOE system.
Thanks... -

I think we're almost there on understanding ...
You are right. Also, if multiple births are balloted in at an earlier Phase as the \"last ball\", they will take up vacancies from the latter Phases. It is only in the final Phase where the school will have to request MOE to open up extra spaces for the triplets.Orb:
... If there is a ballot, then the 3 children share one balloting chance. If their ball is picked, 3 vacancies will be taken up. However, the special rule is if they are the last ball to be picked, then all 3 will get in.
But i stand corrected. Maybe someone can clarify?
Such situation on multiple births' parents get 1 ballot:
1. at early balloting called out, all siblings get in; any vacancies will be given to them in accordance ie reduce the balanced seats at ballot
2. if last seat called out at ballot, all siblings get in; no reduction of seats at next phase for such circumstance
3. if last seat called out at last phase ballot, all siblings in too; whether MOE approval needed ... I dunno -

3. if last seat called out at last phase ballot, all siblings in too; whether MOE approval needed ... I dunno
Actually parents of multiple births have a choice. They can choose to have two chances(twins) or three(Triplets). However, that would mean their balls need to be picked for all of them to get in. Thus most parents just choose to have one chance, as once their ball is picked, all their children will get in.
For point 2 above, if last seat called out at ballot, all siblings get in; there'll be a reduction of seats at next phase. -
Orb:
Orb is correct. I experienced these years back. I was at phase 2C, monitoring closely on any vacancy left from phase 2B. At 2B, there was ballot and last ball drawn was for a pair of twins, so the extra space was taken from phase 2C. So I was at the time unhappy that there was 1 vacancy less in phase 2C.
For point 2 above, if last seat called out at ballot, all siblings get in; there'll be a reduction of seats at next phase.
At phase 2C, there was 1 over subscribed at the end and there were pairs of twins in the applicants, so the Principal called off the ballot and got approval from MOE to increase 1 seat (initially 270 seats, then became 271) to accommodate all applicants in phase 2C. It's a narrow escape from balloting at that time
