All About Primary Schools' Balloting History

phtthp:
Just an update to parent interested to enrol in Jurong Westkey_word08:
Hi, I see. Noted. So meaning if by day 3 if balloting is more or less confirm needed for SC<1KM in Frontier, I must go ahead to withdraw my registration under frontier and proceed to apply in Jurong West primary right?
just bear in mind that balloting bears risk !
consequences :-
in the event fail to ballot into Frontier successfully at Phase 2C, then you'll end up enrolling your kid in whatever residual, remaining vacancies are left behind, in those schools left under next phase for enrollment (ie. Phase 2C Supplementary)
If u are risk adverse : then just enrol your kid smoothly into Jurong West primary at 2C, if no balloting is required.
whether you want to take risk or not, at 2C : is up to you.
But, why u need to withdraw ?
No need to withdraw, since both schools fall under Phase 2C, in your case ?
on the LAST day of Phase 2C, during the last few hours left in the afternoon, u decide, carefully, which school u want -
if want to try your luck, at balloting : enrol into Frontier
But, if u are risk adverse: then, enrol into Jurong West
3 School in Jurong West had reduced its vacancy for 2018 Pri 1 registration.
Popular school like Frontier, Jurong West & West groove all reduce from 240places to 210 Places.
Nerve wrecking! :stupid: :xedfingers: -
We didnt get into nhps in phase 2A2 and the next elgible phase would be phase 2C. At first we thought that we have a confirmed seat in Princess E as we are SC within 1 km. Only to know that balloting was done in 2016. Would anyone knows where to find the number of SC applicants vs vacancies?

If you go to balloting history section, the percentage of APP would give you the number of applicants. If balloting is for SC, you'll easily calculate the number.

Did you add to waitlist at nhps?
2015 103 applied for 96 vacancies (all within 2km went in)
2016 107 applied for 88 vacancies (balloting within 1km) - total vacancies dropped by 30 from 240 to 210 in year 2016. Exact number for the SC is not known but safe to say those applied should be within 1km and all SC.
left 2017 after 2A2, 71. these few years 2b application is low, so monitor if it remain low.
if you already have done balloting before, you should know your threshold for balloting. All the best -

can someone rectify this. it showing wrong school under different Area. instead of showing respective school for that Area, it just sort by Alphabetically and insert into that Area. -

My son did not make it for phase 2B through the Ballot at SJIJ this week. is it worth reapplying for phase 2C?
He is SC and we live > 2km.
Do they take previous tentatives into account for the phase 2C applications?
thank you -

Unfortunately no, you have to start afresh at phase 2C. Likely to be balloting again for >2km at phase 2C though. Why don't you try a safer school nearer to your house? Unless you're game to try balloting again & have a reliable fallback school at phase 2C(S).My son did not make it for phase 2B through the Ballot at SJIJ this week. is it worth reapplying for phase 2C?

SJIJ usually ballots for <2km under 2C. You may not even get a chance to ballot. Priority is to secure a school in 2C. All the best!My son did not make it for phase 2B through the Ballot at SJIJ this week. is it worth reapplying for phase 2C?
