I casually spoke to some of the enrichment centres instructors in Balmoral Plaza and they observed they have lower 6yo boys enrolment this year compared to other years. I can see lower take up rates for RVPS, RGPS and SCGS. Maybe the Newton area is aging and has higher non SC population.

This year acsp has more seats mainly due to lesser registered in 2a1 and 2a2. Could be just that the ex students had lesser kids that year?

It is more like last year (2016) was abnormally high, making this year's seem abnormally low. Still, the undercurrent of sentiments also plays a part. Every year different top schools take turns being the \"most popular\" during P1 registration.

It doesn't add up to 100% because the denominator is not the total number registered, but the number of places available for Phase 2C. I thought this is better because it shows which day the school gets oversubscribed. I don't know. You tell me what you need and I'll crunch it up.
