Catz2222:
Any one rec'd any CO or WL for MGS, TJC(ip), NJC(ip) and SOTA ???
TJC sent out CO on the last few days of August too, not via email, they sent by post if I remember correctly. -
sweetpappi:
Not Myteapot. One is only confirmed when you get a CO. One can get rejected even after an interview. Hope this answers your question. Good luck to your DC!
Hi Myteapot
Thanks for sharing. Attending interview means CO confirmed or still there is a chance of getting rejected? -
Catz2222:
Can't compare, because they are all differentCan seek advise on school selection?
Btw MGS, TJC(ip), NJC(ip) and SOTA which is the best to least preferred order?? Thanks.
TJC and NJC are both IP, working towards A level.
In contrast, MGS :
depend on whether you choose O level or choose direct express to IB. If choose IB diploma : then no A level.
should ask yourself :-
You prefer which path :
prefer your child to end up with A level cert then go uni, or end up with IB Diploma first, then go uni ? -
Hi Francoise, I think your reply is meant for sweetpappi

Hi sweetpappi, Franchise is right. The interview is usually the last round of selection before results. -

[quote=\"sweetpappi\"]Hi
Just received call from the school my DD has been invited for interview in TKGS. Kindly can any of you share with me your interview experience? Thanks
Every school conducts their interviews differently. It can be an individual interview or group interview. You can try calling up the school beforehand to ask if itโs group or individual interview so your DD can be mentally prepared for it. As to the questions asked, this can be anything. In the 2 interviews my DS attended, the questions asked were totally different and focused on different aspects. It is hard to predict the questions asked, but it may help to read up on the school. To me, I personally feel that the interview is to put a face to the name, and for the school to assess the child and his/her suitability for the school. So it may be best for your DD to be herself and enjoy the process, but then again, this is my personal view. Hope this helps.

Results can swing either way.
Either \"make-it\" or \"break-it\" outcome. -

Hi sweetpappi, your dd needs to read up on the school's mission, values, etc..get to know the school a little bit.
Thank you all. I hope everything goes well and my DD gets selected in the interview. :nailbite:
The interviewer might ask \" Why do you choose TKGS?\"
\"what do you like to do during your free time? if you like doing this(whatever the answer), then why dsa band?\"
Every schools are different in selecting the type of students they want that fit the school culture, so your dd just be herself and be confident, don't memorize any answer, cos the interviewer can tell. Wish your dd all the best ! -
