SOTA released results around 12 Aug last year. If it is releasing in mid-Aug, should be soon. MGS usually releases in the last week of Aug - the principal has said that releasing the results during the prelims (which are usually in the second last week of Aug) might make some girls distracted, esp if they get rejections, because they will know from their friends who were successful and who were not.

            Hi

Just received call from the school my DD has been invited for interview in TKGS. Kindly can any of you share with me your interview experience? Thanks

            Hi sweetpappi,
Every school conducts their interviews differently. It can be an individual interview or group interview. You can try calling up the school beforehand to ask if it’s group or individual interview so your DD can be mentally prepared for it. As to the questions asked, this can be anything. In the 2 interviews my DS attended, the questions asked were totally different and focused on different aspects. It is hard to predict the questions asked, but it may help to read up on the school. To me, I personally feel that the interview is to put a face to the name, and for the school to assess the child and his/her suitability for the school. So it may be best for your DD to be herself and enjoy the process, but then again, this is my personal view. Hope this helps.

            Hi Myteapot
Thanks for sharing. Attending interview means CO confirmed or still there is a chance of getting rejected?

TJC sent out CO on the last few days of August too, not via email, they sent by post if I remember correctly.

Not Myteapot. One is only confirmed when you get a CO. One can get rejected even after an interview. Hope this answers your question. Good luck to your DC!

Can't compare, because they are all different

TJC and NJC are both IP, working towards A level.

                    In contrast, MGS :
depend on whether you choose O level or choose direct express to IB. If choose IB diploma : then no A level.

                    should ask yourself :-
                    You prefer which path :
prefer your child to end up with A level cert then go uni, or end up with IB Diploma first, then go uni ?

Hi Francoise, I think your reply is meant for sweetpappi 😉

Hi sweetpappi, Franchise is right. The interview is usually the last round of selection before results.

                        Results can swing either way.

                        Either \"make-it\" or \"break-it\" outcome.
