Anyone's P6 DC not going to school from next Monday onwards?

PSLE next week : a lot of parents & students already very stressed up, some not enough time to practise past year prelim questions, foresee many won't be going to school, stay at home to study.

We are not talking about a simple class test, but a major exam. An exam that determine which Secondary school can enter, based on results.

I wished Spore system shld not be so stressful with such high stakes. Not healthy to put our kids thro such heavy loads & stresses.


One P6 suicide is too many precious human life to lose, (esp for a small country like Spore). If we hv too many kids feeling the backlash fr ‘unpleasant’ PSLE experience, kids may hv a harder time adjust attitude towards studies, carrying in to sec.

Impt not just to start well, but to finish well.

My DC skipped school totally straight after prelim result and release of prelim papers. Inform the FT that we are doing intensive recap and revision and most importantly rest well and not catching any viruses. FT and teachers were kind enough to understand.

This was discussed quite a bit in my DS's class. It is a close fight between answers 1 and 3. My DS chose 3. I'd choose 3 too cos A 同学说“我不知道你妈妈还会缝制衣服呢?\". So the next sentence should logically be \"我妈妈刚刚开始学缝制衣服\". Translated to English, it is \"I didn't know your mum could sew\" leading to \"she has just learnt to sew\"?

I am also concerned about her burnout, so in fact we hv not been doing much at home, she only does those work assigned by teachers.
My gal would really like to take a look at the nyps prelims to see the kind of tough qns. We will only pick some qns to try, not goin to do entire paper.

Would really appreciate if anyone has the nyps prelims to pm me. Thank you!
