Marymount convent is usually pretty easy to get in if you live within 1 or 2km. I recalled this year it has vacancies left even until very late phases.Hi, I am an ex student of RGPS and my DD is now 3, as our home is at boon keng, I afraid the commute for her would be far.
Are there any mummies here who are sending or planning to send their DD to RGPS and staying in the boon keng, kallang, potong pasir area? There are a couple of pri schools I am considering, but am unsure if I will waste the 2A chance of getting her in RGPS. Marymount convent in Toa Payoh is nearer, but would be tough to get in without any PV I suppose?
However, RGPS is probably a better school in general?
Nevertheless, it depends on your DD's aptitude as well, i suppose... -

my gal also managed to get in today! looking forward to the next 6 years in rgps!
Hi sweeleng,
did your daughter get into Rgps, via Phase 2C balloting ?
If Yes, were you nervous on that balloting day itself, when the ball slowly rolled out of the cage ? -

Yup! nerve wreaking experience indeed. The probability of success was decreasing with every ball picked and DD's number wasn't on it. Can literally hear heart pumping hard with every pick. :nailbite:sweeleng:

Hi, some questions /comments:
- Boon Keng is definitely not within the 1-2 km of Marymount Convent.
- Are you prepared to accept neighbourhood schools ?
- Are you open to the idea to relocate nearer to RGPS ?
- Are there any other factors to consider if you decide to relocate ? Example: After-school care and CCA arrangements etc.
- Do you think your DD would prefer an all girls' environment and the overall school culture?
- Does she have any sibling who is of the same gender ? If not, where would you like your younger child to go to ? If she is the only child, then would this status be so in the near future ?
- Would the arrangement be acceptable for all at least 6 years (or more, adding the differences in the age gap if you have a younger child) down the road ?
Hope the above helps. -
Hi, may i ask how are the prefects in RGPS typically selected or appointed?

Hi all
May I ask how are students selected for Olympiad competitions? -
Many RGPS students would love to go RGS. Any possibility of affliation? Noticed some IP schools also have affliation

RGPS is not affiliated to RGS.
This is the list of affiliated pri-sec schools:

Yes but any possibility to explore for affliation? Say write in etc?
