May I know why are science and history books not listed in the year 1 booklist?

These subjects are taught through notes or course books that are prepared by the school so text books aren’t needed, unless you wish to purchase for reference purpose.

Don’t remember bringing lots of things except perhaps some writing materials and stationery for first few days of sch

Yes, bought the uniform. Just wear uniform and bring some writing materials and stationery on first day will do?

I don’t remember any formal lessons on first few days. Get ready to select the CCA

As far as I gather from the registration pack, the child has to bring the following on 1st day: (1) report book (if not submitted during registration), and (2) the reply form on parents briefing.


Orientation starts on second day and the child has to bring the hard copy of his/her VIA survey results.

I suppose I will let DD wear school uniform on first day of school after which the children should be given instructions on orientation attire for the next few days. No lessons during first week due to orientation so likely some basic stationery to go with.

Just wondering how soon one has to decide and what's the chance of getting accepted into the preferred CCA. My DD is interested in netball but she has no prior involvement in the form of CCA.
