Dear patents,
i have one urgent question regarding the grassroot leader certificate. My son is going to apply P1 registration this year- aiming at P2B.
i am living in one RC belong to Tangong pagar GRC there i have served as grassroot leader for 2 years.
I am planning to move to another place so that my son can apply for a better school, which is in another GRC .
Have done some study via this forum understand the application process for GRL certificate is going to start from early May.
in such case, that i have to change my address by that time. May i know who should i approach to assist on changing the address on the certificate - have checked on GRL connect, seems there is no place stating my home address. is it automatically linked to my IC address ? i will go to police station ask for changing the address on my IC after i moved. However, if the address has to be changed via RC manager ,then i may need give him sufficient time to change accordingly .Just wondering what and how long is the process going to take ? i have tried to ask our RC ppls, seems they are too busy -never come back to me on this. Any one has similar experience or can share something to me ? thanks very much . -
Your GLC is not applicable for school in another GRC. For details you can refer to the MOE website

Dear parents,
Hope to get some inputs from here. my son was born in year 2014 and i’m targeting Maris Stella Primary. i have my new BTO at Woodleigh Glen.
As i contacted Maris Stella they do not accept PV years back, so i can only join CC volunteer to be eligible under P2B.
May i know Maris Stella is fall under which GRC and which the CC i should join?
How to become EM? if not EM can i get the endorsement letter?
if i join GRC now, do you think sufficient time for me to become EM?
Compare to Pei Chun, which they accept PV, do you think is higher chance to fall under P2B?
thanks in advance. -
Hi daddy/mummies,
Anyone can advise whether I can still register my child under phase 2B if the address in PA endorsement letter is different from my NRIC address although the two address are in same GRC?
Will school reject the letter due to address difference? :?: -
As you are serving in Tanjong Pagar GRC, your letter will list the schools within Tanjong Pagar which you can apply. You cannot use this letter to apply for other schools in other GRCs, and as far as I know, no amendment is allowed once the letter is issued, which means if you change address in your IC , the letter will be invalid.

May I ask for grassroots for 2B
- it’s based on where you stay to determine the school? or
- where we serve?
If it’s based on where we stay then how do we know which are e eligible schools? Like it must be within 2km? -
quick qn on the endorsement letter. (if you received it previously)
who is signing on it?
CD or Adviser? -

The choice of schools should be based on where you serve, but the distance will still be based on where you live, which by right should be in the same area where you serve. Because there's no point serving in an area whereby the schools are too far from where you live. For example, even if you serve in Bishan and are eligible to register in Catholic High, you won't even get the chance to ballot if your house is in AMK which is > 1km away.May I ask for grassroots for 2B
