Phase 2C is open to all regardless of race or religion. So it doesn't matter whether you're catholic or not. It only matters in Phase 2B.Maris Stella seems like quite safe if stays <1km for 2C balloting history, is it really true?

No at all. In fact, in both my son school, another catholic school. Catholic are the minority... only about 20% of their class population join the Jesus and I class. -

Dear all, need some help here. My wife was from Fujian and i would like to apply membership to SHHK for her so that there is a better chance for my little girl to get in a good school. However, we do not know anyone who is a member of SHHK. Any suggestion on how to get existing members' recommendation? if you have, pls reply my message here or just email me directly at [email protected]

Is your girl a Singapore citizen? If not, you might not even have the chance to ballot. In Phase 2B & 2C, most popular schools conduct balloting for citizens living within 2km. Some even conduct balloting for those living within 1km. -

Thanks. my girl is a singapore citizen, so as to my wife. we are 1km for one of the affiliated school. but due to its popularity, may still not be able to get in. So wanna join SHHK to raise the chances.starverb:

My friend joined SHHK and clocked double the hours required for the normal PV but in the end didn't manage to get the letter.galaxyraider:

The only SHHK school that still accept PV is Chong Fu.

Ai Tong, Nan Chiau, Tao Nan and Kong Hwa do not accept PV anymore. So, it may not be easier (or even possible) to go through PV route than through SHHK.
It's not just the number of hours clocked, the tenure of the membership is just as important. If you are only a member for < 3 years, I suspect the odds are not in your favour.
