zac's mum:
Thanks Zac’s mum for your input. yes we do have back up <1km, just that we are putting hopes on 2A1 and just the thought of alumni dragon babies enrolling thru same phase can be quite overwhelmingI still think it is highly unlikely for ACSP to have balloting at 2A1 this year. How possible is it for the alumni to have 240-20-20 = 200 sons collectively in one year? And I don’t think they are so “traditional Chinese” to hold back until Dragon year then have babies, if u know what I mean.
The only school which has had balloting at 2A1 so far is St Nicks, which is a full school and allows the secondary school’s alumni to join in also. That results in the higher demand for the same number of seats.
But...if you’re still worried, you still have time to move <1km to the school. Otherwise research some backup schools that are nearer to your current place.
Does that mean that boys from ACS secondary (did not attend ACSP) can’t join the alumni for ACSP? -
Bubblegumz:
Yes that’s right. So u should be fine. Good luck!

I heard that ACSP has pushed back their assembly time to 8am since this year. So if your son has to take school bus, it shouldn’t be too crazy early. -

In any case, if really never receive, I believe you can still turn up at General Office physically on the official Phase 1 dates (28 and 29 June) to fill up the form and submit. -

Anyone recieve snail mail from MOE regarding P1 registration for 2019 yet?
What snail mail? MOE doesn’t send any such mail, as far as I know. The school you successfully register in will send you snail mail confirmation *after* you get the place. -

Hi
If I remember correctly, yes MOE will be sending letter to you for registration of your kids if they are eligible to register for a pri school. Information will be provided in the letter -

But in any case, even if you don’t receive, still obliged to register under the Compulsory Education Act, unless you have obtained exemption.
