2019 P1 Registration Exercise for 2020 In-take
-
Hello Everyone,
My boy will be fall in the 2020 in-take.
I have dilemma in my decision.
We stay in TPY, and it happened that my DH is alumni of HPPS.
Distance b/w our house to HPPS is more than 10km. So far i have checked with the appointed school bus service, there is no bus service around my area to HPPS.
While it is possible to send my boy to school in the morning, fetching him in the afternoon is a challenge.
Also if there are days whereby my DH cannot send DS to school, it will be also an issue.
Should i continue to consider HPPS ?
Other options i am considering MSHS ( 2C - but outside 2km)
Backup option KCS ( 2C- within 1KM)
What are the available transport options i have if i remain to stay in TPY and opt for HPPS ?
Care to share with me your point of view ? :imdrowning: -

Better to consider schools nearer to your home. It is yet to be seen if there is balloting for MSHS within 2km as Bidadari estate is developing. When your child gets older (around Pri 3), there are CCAs to consider and dismissals would be between 3pm - 5pm. So you do need to plan for this when the time comes.Hello Everyone,

The other options would be to move nearer to HPPS.
Hope this helps. -

Thanks qms for the reply. How about GES vs QtPS? Which one would u recommend for Phase 2C?
Another member posted this in the Bt Merah thread:maxbear:
...My teacher friend who lives infront of QT said that the principal of QT was her primary school principal, and her colleague at MOE hq says that their school program is quite established.
...
GES, I like that they have taekwondo, and their teacher's profile on the site looks really fun. The principal was transferred from a very good sch.
Thanks qms for sharing the post here. -

if you are staying near KC, you should be near to Pei Chun.
if you decide to stay in TPY and opt for HPPS, may have to consider after school care. Think the school has one. -

Yes. After school care is another headache. To choose within the school or choose area with TPY. -
Hi all
I’m new to kiasuparents. My girl is born in 2013 and we live in CCK and looking to register her in South View Primary. I read from the school website that the PV has closed. I’m still abit confused about PV and the registration phases and would appreciate someone could guide me?
Thank you! -

Thank you! I’ve actually read that link does it mean that if I did not obtain PV my child will fall under Phase 2C?
- there are no siblings currently in the school
- not an alumni of the school
- not teaching in the school
- not in affiliated MOE kindergarten
- not an old boy/ girl of the school
- not PV, GRL, church/ clan
If you are none of the above (assuming Sg Citizen) then yes, you will be in 2C or 2C (supp)
