phtthp:
if your son neither SC nor PR : he doesn't qualify for Phase 2A1 nor 2A2, regardless of which primary school interested in.
If your husband neither studied in ACS Junior nor in ACS primary before, also don't qualify for 2A1 nor 2A2
Hubby is from ACS Primary and then ACS Secondary. Yes I know, in any case the hurdle is the PR... I guess this year is abit late for my older son for P1 registration to secure spots in ACS or any school for that matter..
Regardless, my second son is born 2015 so by then we would have PR sorted and with hubby ACS pri old boy and alumni, hopefully he can secure a spot in ACSp at phase 2a (I know SC still have priority over PR, so that is still a hypothetical maybe). Thats why I'm hoping and praying older son can also go ACSp, both boys in same school better than different school.... -
Hi, was there balloting for phase 2C, SC, <1km, ACS (Junior) last year?

Don't know why it's different from ACSJ website. ACSJ is more and more popular.J13:

any update on the numbers today for phase 2A?
https://www.moe.gov.sg/admissions/primary-one-registration/vacancies
ACSP has 42 seats left for Phase 2A(2)
ASCJ has 63 seats left for Phase 2A(2) -
Thanks galaxyraider. Usually 2a2 will increase by how much? Any predictions?
Hoping for the best ! Super worried and nervous… -
galaxyraider:
Both ACS Junior & ACS primary are popular schools, but they are Not full schools (ACS have different, separate Principal, for primary & Secondary school section), hence no balloting arose in Phase 2A1 : still left-over 42 seats (ACSP) and 63 seats (ACSP), for 2A2.

ACSP has 42 seats left for Phase 2A(2)
ASCJ has 63 seats left for Phase 2A(2)
In contrast, full schools like Catholic High Junior and St Nick encountered 2A1 balloting. -

No predictions, but the available seats for 2A2 had declined sharply.Thanks galaxyraider. Usually 2a2 will increase by how much? Any predictions?

Seats for 2A2
2015: 129 -> 23 applicants -> 73 seats available for 2B
2016: 98 -> 22 applicants -> 58 seats available for 2B
2017: 89 -> 30 applicants -> 50 seats available for 2B
2018: 63 -> Assuming there are 30 applicants -> Only 37 seats available for 2B
As you can see, the available seats for 2B had decreased sharply. In average (based on the past 3 years) there are 40 applicants <1km, so the probability for balloting within this group is high. Can you imagine if the number of applicants in 2A2 also goes up?
You can refer to this link to see the data for the past 3 years: http://acsj.moe.edu.sg/qql/slot/u188/docs/Announcements/P1_Intake_2014_to_2017.pdf
