        People take it as a form of insurance. Cheaper than insurance premiums, even!

          Once upon a time it used to be guaranteed insurance... in recent years not so.

              after google, for Phase 2A1 alumni fees :-
              Nanyang : $ 1000

              (Ai Tong, ACS, MGS (BT), SCGS, Nan Hua, RGPS ) : $ 500

              Henry Park : $ 400

              Rosyth : $ 350

              Tao Nan : $ 320

              Catholic High & St Nick : $ 300

              St Hilda : cant find (google)

                Actually still not so bad lah... apart from a handful of schools, the rest still pretty much guaranteed.
                For those handful of schools, just need to shift < 1km to be double safe.
