2018 P1 registration exercise for 2019 intake

Anyway balloting results for 2B will be known tomorrow.
For those parents who are successful in the ballot, congratulations. For those parents who are unsuccessful, you need to move on and plan for 2C. You are most welcome to try again for the same school but competition will be more intense and if you fail in the ballot, you wont have much choices in 2CS. So my suggestion is to go for a school which traditionally dont have balloting. Dont waste your 2C chance. -
Dear Parents, I need advice on phase 2C choice
1) Holy Innocents,
2) XinMin Primary or
3) Hougang Primary?
We are in the 1-2km zone for all 3. If you have only 1 chance and not go for balloting, which would you go for? -

All the schools above historically ballots within 1km in 2C. You wont stand a chance. Suggest you look at other schools.Dear Parents, I need advice on phase 2C choice

Holy Inn has balloting for 2B 1-2km, and oversubscribed by double of vacancy. Can bet that if those didn't get in, they'll try again in 2C. Unless you want to try your luck.Dear Parents, I need advice on phase 2C choice

The other 2 has a high take up rate also, and need to consider that 2C is a huge number compared to other phases. -

APP only reflected the number of official applications. It does not show the intended applications as some parents did not apply as the within 1km vacancies were full. Some schools controlled the number of PVs and thus some years you can see more 2B applicants and some years there were less.clouddealz:
can anyone explain to me how to read the app / tur? as in the table of analysis coz till now i still quite confused n not sure how to read it

APP means number of applicants over total vacancy available in that particular phase
180% would mean 1.8 applicants per vacancy
TUR is total take up rate until that particular phase. total intake 300. say 2B TUR Is 80% - 240 spots are taken. -
Thanks again Lexy for the updated analysis table.

btw, i wonder why Chongfu so popular within Yishun area?. everyone was like rush to register their children in this school. What made this school so popular? Because of the academic results or???

Great effort! The forum is very helpful because of people like you.Folks: i did an update for TUR till 2B 20 July 2018. You may use it and make reference/comparison to the balloting history for the past years.

My eyes blurred and brain fried le. should be out of action for a couple of days.
Here a bit correction: Catholic high has 21 vacancies in 2B as two were withdrawn from earlier phase, so APP should be 171% with 36 applications.
Btw, withdrawal can be remarked otherwise people would think there was surplus after 2A taking in. -
Admin,
Can you sticky lexyβs table or post it as an individual page + credit his work too?
Itβs really a commendable effort. -
Dear parents, for those who are admitted into phase 2B, have you already received the sms from MOE?
