Anyone has breakdown for Haig Girls? We are SC <1km. I thought should be quite safe but looking at the high no of applicants, I am getting a little jittery.

Don’t wanna see the day 3 results already. Many people will have sleepless nights

Day 1 & 2 is not a good indication. Wait for Day 3 to have a good sense of the situation.
Many parents would have registered in Phase 2A1 & 2A2 and are hogging the seats. I think many will give up (withdraw) and apply to a school nearer home, thus freeing some vacancies. but i may be wrong so we shall see.

I asked at HWS today about the breakdown of applicants to distance but they told me they were not allowed to reveal that. When we were registering today there were some parents who were registering that lived 1-2km away or further. Given the ballot history I would have thought the staff would advise them that the chances were slim to non existent. However I am making a lot of assumptions as to which category they might fall in SC or PR and distances.

I guess I just have to :xedfingers:

Yes it's common tt sch admin won't say.
U got to think of a better / diplomatic way to ask them to reveal the breakdown to u. For the sake of not wasting 2C chance...& avoid 2C supp.

The school does not have the right to reject the applicant. They probably did advice the parents but wont reject the applicant if they want to register (to try their luck).

                      Northland is super challenging.

Wondering how many of the applicants actually are 1-2km or further but still trying…

I’m not familiar with Yishun schools, but why is Northland so popular? They are the most oversubscribed sch in sg?!
