Anyone has breakdown for Kheng Chèng?

For me I also can’t decide if to take the risk go balloting or settle one that is less popular. I got balloted out in phase 2A2 and I’m scared I can’t take the 2nd blow…
Did anyone do any research to compare 2C applicants for Day 1 and Day 2 for last yr 2017 and 2018, any big differences? I remember last year Chief Kiasu posted a data sheet for 2C, day 1 how many applicants. Day 2 how many applicants and so on. Can anyone find the link again and repost here? So we can compare last yr and this yr.

To estimate, if u have time, total up the number of places already taken for all the schools. This will roughly tell us the % of kids already registered n % increase to expect for the next 2 days. Barring difference in population distribution, I think it would be a good gauge on which schools will eventually be over subscribed. We see that some hot schools like ACS still have vacancies, obviously these is too good to be true

ACS still has vacancies because there is still 1 more day to go. Many parents will go into sprint mode in the last lap nearer to the end of the day.
there may be cases whereby a group of parents are in discussion and on the fence. i only have to say, when too many parents are waiting at the same time and act at the same time. one word answer - chaos

Ok i found the link! Anyone like to discuss the data? Or help us to analyse?
rather than i attempt to do the comparison 2017 day 1 versus 2018 day 1 or 2018 day 1 versus day 2 - which will only increase the panic mode of some parents, perhaps you let me know (here or pm) which school in particular and i help you see see look look.

By looking at the data last year, it give a good indication for that particular school what is the general risk profile of the parents and in the end whether the applicants inch up or down. How that particular school remain hot usually goes with available backup plans.

assuming all within 1km, will you still go for it?

if yes, then try to find out the exact number (it shouldnt be far from the total applicants)

Anyone has breakdown for Haig Girls? We are SC <1km. I thought should be quite safe but looking at the high no of applicants, I am getting a little jittery.

keep cool. should be safe for <1km.
call the school to check if you want the exact number (talk nicely always)

All KSP Folks applying for 2C

Keep cool and review your plan.
If everything is within expectation, stick to your plan.
If it exceeded your expectation, do you have a backup plan?
If you didn’t have a plan, maybe sit back and think through for a moment.

For schools with overflow folks, 2Cs will be another mind blogging exercise to analyse catchment area (it’s a tough job) and trying to determine these parents will go for any particular school around that area. If the backup choices has lower in numbers, some folks will be forced to go through another balloting.

Every year, many others have experience the same anxiety and sleepless nights for this registration exercise, everyone here is trying their best for the kids.
Let’s not forget registering for school is the 1st step of the primary school learning journey.
With the same spirit and determination, be with the kid in their learning journey will yield result as well.

So keep cool and stay calm.

There’s still the morning commutes, homeworks, tests, exams & CCAs that we parents have to go through as well (for the next 6 years)...

I think for HWS parents who have boys, if they withdraw, are likely going to try for SJI Jr as they may be staying within 1 km or 1-2km as it is relatively safer than the 28:114 seats vs applicants in HWS.
