Hi… Anyone has comments on Primary school at woodlands area.
Is QiHua or Woodlands Ring or Evergreen or GreenWood recommended primary schools?
Wondering why there is a few parents reqistered for Woodlands Ring & Qihua Pri.
Anyone has kids/friend’s kids study there? Thanks… -

Thoughts on Opera Estate Primary School for a PR >2km? 54 registered thus far for 87 places = 32 remaining. Safe to register?
Opera Estate safe for PR. For girls in the east, you may want to consider CHIJ Katong and for boys, St Stephen’s. Both are safe for PR and have secondary affiliation. -
Thank you. :)
I assumed u are referring to Tanjong Katong Primary? If yes, then for the 2019 cohort, P1 and P2 will continue to be in the afternoon session.
Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri: 1230pm - 630pm
Wed: 2pm - 630pm
As for academic requirements, I'm not too sure what u are referring to? IMO, basic reading, writing and numeracy skills, including writing their English and Chinese names (if u are a Chinese) should suffice for now. Hope this helps.
Hi.
How is P1 academic ( like their homework or teachers requirement for p1)?
So when they move back to katong in yr 2020 P1 & P2 lessons will resume to morning session?
If your child in TKPS? If yes, can share with me how is it during child learning journey? Thank you.
I don't have a child there. We went for their open house this year (end of May) and had a pretty good impression overall. According to the principal, they are trying to convert to single (morning) session after 2020 but they can't confirm until they have moved back to the original site. The academic aspect of the school seems to be well-rounded or holistic, and encompasses a significant amount of drama/performance even for lower primary. They had a few groups from the P1 and P2 classes performed story-telling in English for us during the open house. We spoke to a few of the current P1 English teachers who seemed young and enthusiastic, and were advocates of parent-teacher partnerships. The student leaders present that day were also very knowledgeable, well spoken and carried themselves very well I would say for regular 10-11 year olds. So I believe your child will be in good hands in this school. We aren't registering with them mainly because the school will be too far a commute for my child after they return to Seraya Road. The holding site right now is ideal for us but unfortunately only for the 1st year.
Thanks for sharing even though your child is not attending the school. I appreaciate it.

Just wondering did anyone do a estimate of how many have registered in total up to day 3 of phase 2c? Wonder if there is another, say 5% who hasn’t registered at all or day 3 action is reserved for those switching schools last minute? For popular schs, those in 1-2km shd be on their toes as they may potentially not even get a chance to withdraw/re-register/ ballot shd people start moving around.

Appreciate if anyone can share the latest/ final stats by distance for:
- SJIJ
- St. Andrew’s
- Maris Stella -
I can understand the strong appeal. If u win, it will be so convenient the next 6years!
No harm balloting if odds for PR <1km is good. Nothing to lose as there r plenty of options nearer than PLMGPS available.
As for which sch if need to 2cs, go by distance as it's the last chance.r_aswathh:
Yup u r right..But if all SC applicants oversubscriped..I wont..
If you are PR status, my opinion is you shouldn't be aiming springdale as it's already over subscribed. Look for a confirm ticket nearest to home or stick to plmgps.nomoreusername:
I stay near all the schools above..in SKG
Juz opp to Nan Chiau n Springdale..but not eligible for Nanchiau as PR..
I already got in alumni due to elder but it is in Hougang PLMGPS.. as its too far to travel as she has to wake up at 5am..
But I m trying for springdale
Will see tmr how it is..
May I know which school aftr Springdale..I shld choose..
FERNVALE
SKG PRI
NORTHSPRING..
Pls SHARE UR INPUTS..
Only these 3 I have in.mind n got vacancies too..
Lost my impression for AGPS since last year..dont know why..ever I dont want to..
But as of today morning aa per last nite regn..
I heard it is 15seats are PR n rest are SC..
So if got chances for PR balloting thinking to go for it. N see her luck..
as my kid can even go by herself..as juz a pedestrain cross over..
-

Final day of registration in 2C.
There will be 2 group of parents…
1. Already registered but going to withdraw and trying for a school nearer home (thus freeing up seats),
2. Parents who have not registered and looking to “place their bets”. They will be making their move in the final hour.
So for those who are in the 1-2km and the beyond 2km, be on your toes and get ready to withdraw. the latest u shld be withdrawing shld be around 3.45pm otherwise you will be caught off guard and your 2C chance is wasted. Expect a flurry of activity today in the second session.
Good luck parents.
