In other news, I just saw someone try to drive and park his Ferrari in the school for registration. Security guard told him no special treatment given for red cars. Go park outside at the hawker center carpark

Anyone knows when will MOE announce which category from which school need to ballot? Tonight or Tomorrow?

The parent is not wrong. Moe should mandate a consistent policy who show what info. It cannot be up to each school to decide. And I am also aware some school dowan to tell anything but if you speak loud enough or wear nice enough they reveal The breakdown info. Totally not transparent or fair.Haig Girls as at 11am (probably outdated by now)
93 vacancies and 100 applicants. Did not reveal breakdown by distance. Only stated PR 1-2km MAY need to ballot.
Also witnessed an ugly scene where a parent tried to pressure the staff into revealing the breakdown by distance. He said his wife is at the other school waiting to see if she should withdraw and added that as citizen they should have priority. My guess is that they are citizen >2km. The staff was still calm but added that she was just following guidelines. For their children, some parents really can show their ugly side. -

I called moe. Moe said no rule, ie boh zheng hu, up to each school. Moe itself also didn’t have the info until end of the day, that is what the moe phone operator said, not sure True or not.

Different schools' admins have different protocols.
1) Some sch admin will print the stats breakdown nicely for all to see.
2) Some sch admin will reveal verbally & quietly if you go in & ask in person.
3) Some sch admin willing to reveal over the phone call.
4) Some sch admin will raise up voice and stop you from asking any further. (whether in person or over the phone)
5) Some sch admin will give you a straight face \"We are following protocols\"
6) Some sch admin will tell you it is not their obligation to reveal anything.
So what is the real protocol?

It depends on resources of each school & how user-friendly the school wants to be, if there's no obligation to provide breakdown fr HQ. aka you go to very popular chicken rice stall, they've no time to entertain too many of yr requests (chicken w/o pandas flavour, wings w/o tip) but if u go to a stall waiting to breakeven, u get all the unusual combinations u want). Don't bash the poor school staff leh. It's hard for them to earn their chicken rice meal! -
