All the best to our P6 kids for their LC!

My DD says today both languages are tough. Not straightforward and strong distractors.
-

-

Agree. That's what my girl told me too. Her friends also said its tough. LC also have moderation I supposed? -
Agree. Super hard. All answers seem acceptable.

Hi! According to my DD, there were several tricky ones, for both EL and CL. Fortunately, her school drilled them everyday over the past 4 days and that 1 week prior to term break. They were taught how to handle those tricky questions.
I was thinking why her school is wasting so much time on LC, now i know it is better to be over-prepared.
Subsequently papers I believe will not be easy.

2018 PSLE EL LC is similar standard as per previous years set from 2015 to currently. Feedback heard was easy!
Children who have been drilled with LC using PSLE EL Book 2015 to 2017and PSLE EL Book from 2014 to 2016 with those LC practices will find it easy on top of another Marshall Cavendish P6 Listening Comprehension Book.
In one particular school, the teacher only drilled the LC for 1 time while the PSLE book was kept in school cupboard. Another school, the teacher tested pupils LC but kept the PSLE book in school and not returning it back to them.
The takeaway message is “To depend on your school teacher could be too late.” -
Actually I feel sometime its really hard to spot a pattern. Some Qn got wrong because the answer u think its too surface. And sometimes u got wrong because u over think.

My girl told me as they have been practicing in class, the are able to identify if the particular question is a ‘trick’ or ‘treat’ question. The target is to get full mark for LC because it is the easiest among all components. However, there are a handful who just couldn’t get it and was advice by teachers to practice at home, using MC online.
