Anyone know if school bus goes to east side? I m staying in bedok. If yes, what time to pick up?

Is sngs really strict about the attire the students wear? Like must the spectacles be fully black in colour? And are the students allowed to wear sports shoes as part of the attire? Or the students must wear two separate pairs of shoes on days they have PE? I am really curious about this as some schs allow their students to wear sports shoes on a daily basis even when the students do not have PE on those days. Thanks in advance!

There are no rules about the spectacles worn. As for sports shoes, the students have to wear school shoes (white shoes) for PE. Sports shoes are allowed on Fridays only (regardless of whether they have PE lessons) -

Why are sports shoes only allowed on Fridays regardless of whether the students have PE lessons?Lightningtime:

They can wear colourful sports shoes and class t shirts or house t shirts.
On other days, I think it works as long as your sports shoes are all white. -
Hi all,
would like to know if any of your girls were from a neighbourhood school and got into CHIJ St Nicholas, did they feel left-out or feel ostracized since most of the girls were from the St Nicholas Primary School? It will only be a small handful of girls that are not from St Nicholas Primary.
At the age of 13, it's the beginning of the peak for puberty, as such, girls are more sensitive.
would really appreciate your comments here.
Many Thanks! -
Each Secondary 1 class :
will have a mixture of both (new comers who just newly joined the school + ex Sngs primary school) students in the same Sec 1 class, to encourage interaction amongst them.
They have one full year to get to know one another, because they can form different project teams for different subjects, with different mixture of pupils together put in the same team.
School doesnโt separate out various Sec 1 classes, by ex primary-school status of where u came from.
Eg.
We do not form any Sec 1 class that is purely entire whole class comprised only new-comers, or purely whole class comprised of ex (former) Sngs girls. No, we donโt form Sec 1 class, like this.
Making (meeting) new friends with new classmates take time, as they learn to build trust, through working together, lunching together during recess, interacting with one another. It is not an instant, over-night process. Given some time, they will be able to form their own buddies, bond together with those whom they can trust, can study (discuss projects) together with, do laboratory-work together in the Science lab, can get along with. Not to worry. -

for Sec 3 Higher Chinese, even if Sec 3 students scored B4 and below , they can still proceed to take Higher Chinese immediately, in the next following year (Sec 4, whether is O-level or IP), so as to clear the hurdle Higher Chinese, quickly. Unlike some other very strict SAP Secondary schools, who bar / prevent Sec 4 students from taking Higher Chinese, if students do not score minimum at least a B3 (Higher Chinese), in Sec 3. Yes, there are some other SAP schools, that discriminate this way. Luckily, over here in St Nick, we do Not discriminate.
