A couple of new developments within 1km of the school in the last 5 years. Not surprisingly lah.

Then Maris Stella will be the surprising school. Multiple developments and still managed to escape ballot.

Maris Stella generally ballots for SC > 2km. Hence, I won't say this year is very much different.

Prior years developments around the Bidadari estate were non existent. Recent years, with Bidadari, Botanique, Bartley Ridge, Bartley Residences developing, I could see demand hotting up for MSHS moving forward.

Bidadari is another Bishan, so MSHS is another CHS?!

                    Hi,

What do you think of the chance of getting Poi Ching in phrase 2C for <1km?

Do we need to submit an alternative school?

                      Don't get me wrong.

I am quite sure demand for MS will increase in future. I'm saying not this year because Bidadari estate is not yet ready for occupancy and the other private properties are still fairly new. Even when residents shifted in, conceiving / pregnancy / delivery / raising children to school going age takes time you know? :rotflmao:

On the other hand, CHIJ TP has seen a lot of recent developments in the last 5 years or more (e.g. Sky@Eleven TOP 2010, Trevista TOP 2012, The Peak @ Toa Payoh TOP 2012, Toa Payoh Crest TOP 2017). Most of the babies then, or had come since, are now ready for school.

                        Hi

if my kid has already secured a place in another school (phase 2A1) but i want to withdraw and try for a much nearer school (<1km), do i have to withdraw physically then apply online or i have to withdraw and register physically for both?

Would anyone also know whether the school would be able to ‘update’ the number of SCs by distance base on a daily basis ie 29 jul , 30 jul and real-time 31 july for the registrations including those who applied online?

The nearer school has 63 places for phase 2C which is quite a high chance and may be 100% for <1km but also not sure as cannot see the distance base application for previous years…
