The current system is not 100% fair but it is fair enough. For my SC child, I spent 40+hours of my time to do PV to get into a less popular school beside my house last year. Now I can enjoy Phrase 1 for my 2 young children

Thank you for your post. In relation to the discussion, your situation appears fair for SG citizens in later phases.
Hi, seeking advise for a Friend. Heโ€™s Singapore Citizen 1km to both red Swastika and yuneng and currently a bit thorn as to which school to apply for phase 2c. Any advise from the masters?

Risk is similar, hot balloting <1km for both. So monitor both to see any good odds, or just try at 1 preferred.
Get a backup will be better.
of coz must take leave for this life-changing event lol. not just leg work, wheels work also, unless schools are side by side lah

The PR also can do the same since school less popular.

Citizens vote. PRs do not. Since we are unhappy, we can vote out the policy makers with our vote.

                Sounds like St Nickโ€™s

Probably Rosyth, and now her Monkey DD got Phase 1, double happiness :)
Yes. If SCs do the same, we can squeeze them. If not, later do not complain that SC need to ballot in 2C. The 40 hours really burnt a lot of my leave.

Assuming that you are saying "If a PR does the same". A Singapore citizen under phase 2B (also taking annual leave to do her 40+ hours of PV) for her first child cannot squeeze out a PR under phase 1.

SC's parents can join MOE to become teacher in popular school. SC's elder child can study very hard and join the GEP. We need to compare apple with apple.

All system cannot be 100% fair but at least our primary one registration system is transparent.
