Do everyone a favour (including yourself) by applying early. This way everyone will have a clear view of which one to try/ballot for.

A couple of years ago, ACSP went to ballot for the <1km only because of last minute applicants. People who are <1km for both ACSP and ACSJ didnt have enough time to withdraw from ACSP and apply at ACSJ, which had like 5 more slots for <1km.

          gotcha! It's 2017, ACSP 40 <1km vs 39 seats, ACSJ 45 <1km vs 50 seats.

            Evagemo, thanks for the numbers.

Agreed with Singhao to do everyone a favor and apply early if possible. This will save everyone a headache. Hope everyone will get their school of choice without needing to undergo the stress of balloting and enjoy a happy weekend;)

This is never going to happen.

While the call for everyone to apply as early as possible is great and helpful for everyone, it’s undeniable that the advantage and strategic element lies in those who wait. Therefore, why apply and show hand early, when I can delay and strategize to max my gain?

Sure, some people may detest the actions of those who spring a surprise on the 1-2km or those who think they are safe < 1km last minute but everyone is playing by the rules. No reason why people should get a free pass because they apply early.

              :siam:

Show the card first may not undermine the strategy. It really depends on how the game is play.

I would really be intrigued if I am on the same game with you. 😄

It’s like football. Don’t blame the other team for parking the bus if your team fails to score the goals.

I dont think its real time for sjij... Nevertheless, if numbers are true, i think there may be around 10-15 last min parents coming in after 4pm. Affecting the 1-2km chances.
