I called the sch at 530pm and they confirmed tat 103 registered for 104 spaces. so everyone got in !!!!

      Wonderful! Congratulations!

Congrats. So that leaves one vacancy for 2CS. I wonder who’s garang enough to try. Maybe if 2 people they’ll wait until last 10 minutes to scissors paper stones.

We can check the total applicants if it’s out of whack.

RGPS and HWS may be on the high side, but completely normal.

More prepared as more stay nearer in anticipation?[/quote]No.

RGPS ballot for SC > 2km is nothing special. If anything, it has the potential to ballot for SC between 1-2km. Chances are most 1-2km are just getting smarter to identify an opening at this particular school.

HWS is just par for the course. Given that there are plenty of places available at Stamford and Bendemeer, I don't see why people would be put-off by the balloting in HWS.

really odd statistics for HWS and RGPS for what is supposedly a low birth year......

makes me wonder whether it's because of new citizens......
Vs the really low numbers at SCGS. Think you cannot view the RGPS numbers in isolation, the effects of neighbouring schools and availability of housing probably had a hand

Most likely the former 2 schools are the backup 2CS schools.

Those staying at Whampoa are basically a captive audience. You have no real alternatives and no where to run to. Your only option is to ballot at HWS.

Thus, when you have one group with no where else to go, and another group who is happy to join in because their alternative is the same place they would have gone anyway if they have lost the ballot, you end up in this situation.

Anderson Primary School. Vacancies increased to 69. All SCs within 2km are accepted. No ballot required.

It will be a sad thing for them. The government even closed the balastier primary school last year.
