For IP school, there is ESIS to help defray some of the costs. With ESIS, the costs of IP school is manageable…other costs such as school trips, laptop, etc I think is same with every other IP schools…

            Hi all,
Would like to ask for advice.

My son is aiming for RI. But we are concerned about the costs involved because we have 3 children but not eligible for subsidies .

Can I check how much the fees are for RI and whether there are extra enrichment programmes in RI and will these be subsidised?

I don't really want him to miss the opportunity of going RI but if it's too expensive, we may opt for other IP schools.

Would appreciate if someone who knows of people in RI can comment.

            Thank you so much.
            :thankyou:
Most kids eligible for RI will be eligible for the ESIS moe scholarship where moe pay fully....most to most you pay $100 a.mth for extras.

Correct me if im wrong please other parents out there?

for boys who are Singapore citizenship , if his PSLE Tscore goes above 260 or 262, students qualify for EESIS (Year 1) ?

However, subsequently, RI will look at your year-end results, every year

@end of Year 1 (IP), in order to continue enjoy receiving \"free\" education for Year 2 (IP), via EESIS,
what is the minimum (lowest) GPA score requirement, because failure to meet this requirement will mean that the student need to fork out and pay $300+, per month, his EESIS privilege gets terminated from that point onwards, or can he still continue to renew next year, if say, he is able to meet back the GPA score requirement again the following year ?

(EESIS not for Secondary students who are PR / foreigner status)

If your son qualifies for RI and this is his dream school, please do not let finances deter him from going. RI offers lots of financial assistance in the form of scholarship and bursaries. You can call up the school to get the details. Seriously, if your son qualifies for RI, the school will find a way to help me financially.

Thank you so much, orange belt and green belt.
Really need the assurance. But was looking at the new financial programmes. He has to be like top 30% of cohort before he can qualify.

Then was thinking if enrichment programmes are not subsidised, then will be an issue .

I believe the score that qualifies for EESIS is different every year. Cos it’s actually the top few % of the cohort who qualify. Am I right to say that?

i have heard of subsidy for school fees, via EESIS. Yes, EESIS exists

But, have never heard of subsidy for \"enrichment\" programmes as well, within RI
