Was wondering if the Chinese oral format will change in the next few years because I have a few oral books and my 2nd child will only be taking Psle in 2024.

When will we receive the DSA form? Is it physical form or online?

Primary school will give the DSA preference form to your child if he/ she got CO/ WL.
This is at the end of October.
You can submit the preference online or in person (fill in the form and give to the pri school General Office).

Would like to highlight that the DSA preference submission is from 21 Oct to 25 Oct (3 pm).

Too early to worry about format, surely? Just focus on general oral skills and you can't go far wrong. The books will be useful for that, whatever the format might be in 2024.

HCL compo (main gist - just sharing what I have heard as of now, pls pardon for any inaccuracy/missing info >_<“)

Question 1: your suspicion causing your friend to feel wronged, understood the importance/value of friendship after the incident

Question 2: stranger approached you and your friend, claiming to be your friend’s mother’s friend (fetching on behalf)

Yeah - nouns, verbs, adjectives + grammar and sentence structuring + analytical thinking (views, opinions) still applies despite the latest change (2017) from picture to video format

Dear parents, with the Higher Mother Tongue starting at 10.15am, it also means that PSLE 2019 exams is coming to a closure in about 100mins later. I would like to thank those parents whom had offered me advice to tide both my gal and over the last few days. After today, it’s all about the waiting. Fingers crossed… from this process, I felt that my gal and I are bonded closer to each other. And personally, I begin to realise that it’s time for my gal to grow up and to realise that as just as I would love to, I can’t be there Instantly to help her overcome all obstacles she might come across. But one thing for sure is, I am always contactable and no matter what she experiences outside, home is still a place she can find comfort in. Once again, thank you to all supportive parents.

Higher-order thinking questions requires mature-thinking. Not easy.

After PSLE over today (Wed, 2 Oct 2019), last paper for Higher Mother tongue, suddenly there is a vacuum, at a loss with having so much time available on hand.

Any idea (suggestion), how to spend time wisely (meaningfully), from now until next year (2020) Sec 1 ?
Thank you very much, for advice

(suggestion : nothing, to do with academic)
Read as widely as possible. Newspaper will be a good start. It is important to start having a deeper understanding of the world around you. Issues in SG will be a good place to start before moving to international issues.

Magazines such as National Geographic is another wonderful reading material to add to your repertoire. Magazines like Think and Inspire are also fantastic for teens.

For novels, now is a good time to expand beyond the genre you have always preferred .

If possible, read something in a different language as well.

This is also a good time to get involved in more community work. Helps children to expand the circle of interaction.
