Its coming to the end of year 1 for my DS at RV. Last year i was still worrying if IP will be too stressful for him...however i realised RV did not stress the sec 1 so much & setting them a comfortable pace to adapt to new school and subjects. Being in IP..i realise i less stress on another major exam o level and worry limited seats in jc to fight for.

During haze i wrote in to express concern on outdoor activities they also act on it fast and finding out my needs by talking to my boy. The P is also very encouraging when talkin to the students. My only concern is heavy school bag maybe is my son only where he told me most lockers are faulty..and another setback is cannot get in his favourite cca...other than tht i think we have no regrets in getting in rv😄

your statment above is really encouraging, we still cant decide as to accept the DSA CO given by RV yesterday. My DD insisted to accept and we finally submitted the preference form just now. becos she did well in her prelim and felt that the PSLE Tscore should be around there.

My daughter utilise the locker as well as the desk storage to keep her bag light

Thank you, @VeryKiasu. Your encouraging comments came at the correct time. We also just decided to accept and submit the DSA preference form.

                  Hi all,

For those parents whose kids are in RVH, if my child wants to drop Higher Chinese, is this an option accepted in the IP track?

No, all students who enter RV have to sit for Higher Chinese O'levels when they reach Sec 4.
