Programme scedule got stated all these award presentation.

In fact last year P5 his school also had. Just never clearly indicate who is 1st 2nd or 3th.

          :congrats:

to both your son and you, receiving an award next Friday 🙂 Wow ! That's great, fantastic !!! Keep it Up !

also wish to extend warmest Congratulations to All other P6 pupils too, who are going to receive award next week, at Graduation ceremony.

In my school, following MOE order to \"de-emphasize academics\", my school had done away with Academic award, wef 2019 P6, this year ( abolished )

          - no more Top 123 position in class, based on Total of 4 subjects added up, per P6 class

          - no more Top 123 in Standard, based on Total of 4 subjects added up, across the entire P6 cohort level

          - no more Top 10 % (nor 25 %) of the entire P6 cohort

          - no more
          Top in Maths nor
          Top in Science nor
          Top in English nor
Top in Chinese award, per individual academic subject, across entire P6 level, anymore

Instead, our school emphasized more on Non-academic values like

          - Best in Sportsmanship award,

          - Top in NAPFA Performance award,

          - Good Stewardship (Service) award,

          - \"Most Loving, Sisterly love Caring\" award, for each P6 class.

This loving Sisterly award is nominated (votted) by all students inside each P6 class, as ours is a mission primary school. The pupil with the highest # votes, win this award, per class

          - EAGLES award (as usual)

          How about your schools ?
What Non-academic award, do u all have ?

Same as my child's former primary school. They are having prize ceremony next week for P6 in both 2018 and 2019. For P6 this year is top 3 from each class, no specific ranking. Best in various subjects and the fabulous sports student of the year. For P6 of 2018 is top 5 scorers with no specific ranking, best progress award and student of the year award.

Like to ask for DSA, must the child be in primary school CCA of the particular sport (eg floorball) in order to apply to secondary school for that DSA?

No need, but you have demonstrable ability in that sport, ie you should be in a club level or national level if you aren’t in the primary school CCA (maybe due to the primary school not offering the CCA).

Do you mean my child has to be affiliated with a club before DSA application? Currently he's taking private lessons from a coach.

Isn’t it a bit too late to start the child on independent travel at 12?
