For IP, some schools developed their own curriculum, and esp those fr IB. Students doing IB & taking CL or HCL uses same textbooks though. -

I think sec 1 2020 has a new maths syllabus, either that or a new edition. The textbook is green and it comes in 1A and 1B, not the white one that says 1....I think I saw it at Popular.

Chinese should be the same, but I think there are exercises in the textbook so you cant really reuse someone else’s, unless you dont plan to do them.
I was told, some schools use upper sec geo for lower sec. Depends on your school. You can try checking the school website, I see that some of them have already put up their sec 1 booklist.
Food and consumer education should be the same, but then, not every school has this subject.
I guess you can keep those books first and see how? -

Sec 1 2020 batch, please note that the mentioned books will be the final year used by MOE: Chinese, Higher Chinese, History and Geography textbooks. If you buy new textbooks, you cannot resell them to Year 2021 Sec 1 batch.

You can
After a long wait for PSLE results, it's another 3 weeks of anxious waiting again...
Any suggestions on how to make time go faster?
- go for a short holiday break this Christmas, either overseas (by air flight) to cold, snowing Winter wonderland, or take a cruise on board a ship to Penang/Malacca.
- get your child to attend a camp, or go \"Forest Adventure\" obstacle course, or go Pulau Ubin cycling eat seafood, or go Big Waterfall in JB or go snorkelling, see beautiful colourful sea creatures swimming under water, or go River Safari
But, pls Don't go Mount Kinabalu mountain climbing, remind us of 2015 Sabah tragedy, 4 years ago. The pain lingered on
https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/se-asia/sabah-quake-timeline-of-tragedy-for-singapore-students-caught-in-deadly-mount-kinabalu
- go National library, read up storybooks
- get your child to prepare for Chinese entrance test, if his (her) Secondary school offer HCL to Sec 1 students by passing the test, who were not offered HCL Eligible letter by MOE
- etc -
Don’t forget Year-end is rainy season & monsoon. Be careful to consider avoid activities that exposes one to choppy sea waters or open sky & lightning.
There are lots of fun sport activities as well as learning skills & develop new interests indoors. Short trip to nearby countries or as far as Thailand, Vietnam or even Perth still possible, but last minute flights can be costlier. -
Actually, 3 weeks very fast will be over soon.
Just like after the last psle paper on 2 Oct. Today is 30, last day of Nov. Tomorrow is 1 Dec :
2 months had already gone past, swiftly !
Soon, school open, Sec 1 start -
Haha… thanks phttp and Esteema for the ideas!
Yes we have a short trip planned… hope that’ll take our minds off posting for a while! -
20 Dec Posting results will be informed by SMS? If Overseas skiing/diving/mountain climbing, make sure data/SMS/Roaming is on ok lol
