      Luanee:

I have a fren who is a pri school teacher, she told me that bt timah pri sch consist mainly of those who couldnt get a place into the popular ones in that area like nyps, rgps, mgs, phps... so the standard is not that bad actually, as most of the kids there are quite good too.. It was my backup plan last time too
I second that opinion. If you look at BTPS's PSLE results, it's consistently above nat average. Not bad for a school that's supposedly less 'popular' in the Bukit Timah area. If this sch were located within a more densely populated estate, I can guarantee that balloting will be required even for < 1km.

I think people staying around Bukit Timah are so lucky to have so many good schs to choose from.

There are many good schools in Bukit Timah...but to be fair, there are good schools in the East too. Bukit Timah Primary used to be called Bukit Batok Primary school. My Chinese tutor from primary school used to teach in that school back then.

Not too far away, there is Keming Primary school which is HOT too. πŸ˜‰

Thanks, this is what I did to check for those JW schools but most of them did not indicate. So, I am lost again... don't know which one to choose for my backup. Sigh.... :stupid:

If you're really determined, can ring the schools up to ask.

                    Hi all

not sure if i should stick to De La Salle (DLS) phase 2C <1km (subject to balloting) or rent a place at farrer to ballot (chances higher than DLS) at Nanyang Pri under phase 2C <1km.

i was from Nan Chiau (Pri.1 to 3) but i live at CCK so not possible to send my son there....

sigh... i will feel bad if my son cannot get into DLS, I will send him to Bt. Timah Pri. under phase 2C supp.

any advice if i should try Nanyang or stick to DLS?

                    many thanks!
                    Hi osakachan,

R u renting a room, flat or condo to just let ur child get in to NYPS?
Is it possible to do that?
Coz i oso wish that my child can get into NYPS.

you can stay at a rental place and use that address for registration.

but not advisable to just rent and use the address without the intention of staying there as it is cheating the system and the child will be transfered out of the school should the authority found out the fraud.

not just transfer out only. It's now a prosecutable offence (thanks to those jokers who borrow from ah long and skip the address) - so possible court case, plus free publicity.
