For Temasek Primary, any chance for SC within 1-2km?
Slim chance even to get a balloting chance.

        From Elite.com.sg

Parents can register their child at any Singapore primary school of their choice. However if there are more applications than vacancies, then balloting will be conducted. Balloting will be conducted according to the following order of priority:

Children living within 1km of the school
Children living between 1km-2km of the school
Children living outside 2km of the school.

Is this why the balloting for 2C takes 3 days? Day 1 for <1km… Day 2 for 1-2km

What are my chances at 2C <1km for St Hildas? Or I should opt for Tampines Primary. 1 chance only >,<

It’s not the balloting process which takes 3 days.

There are 3 days for registration because the sheer numbers of people registering in 2C all over Singapore is overwhelming. So the schools are given 3 days to handle all the large volumes of walk-in applicants.

After registration closes on the 3rd day, each school will tally up their numbers. That will decide which distance category they will conduct the balloting for.

If you don’t fall inside the decided distance category for balloting, then you have zero chance to enter.

If child gets into school via <1KM but eventually balloting only for >2KM would the 30 months requirement be relaxed to 1km-2km? or would it still be tied to the <1KM that you registered.

I would like to have some advice from fellow parents here. Will be registering for 2B in sengkang, but am wondering which is a better choice. Fernvale pri, Sengkang Green or Fern Green? Any reason why? I like Fern Green as it is a new school, hence have new facilities. But heard that the principal is not very good, lack of experience.

Dear all, any idea where i can check for 2019 PSLE scores or % of students going to express stream for the schools I am interested in? I am looking at Fernvale Primary, Fern Green Primary, Anchor Green Primary and Sengkang Green Primary. Thanks.

I find it puzzling that people feel that the Principal of Fern Green lacks experience, considering that she has been holding the position of P since 2010. It’s probably an issue of mismatch expectations vs reality.

Of the three schools listed, Sengkang Green is the second most popular primary school in SK (the most popular school is obviously Nan Chiau). I’m assuming there’s a reason that could account for its popularity over the years. Therefore, if you want to go with the herd mentality, you may want to consider SK Green for phase 2B, as 2B is almost a guaranteed placement.

Such data not available publicly since... a long time ago. Furthermore, Fern Green is a new school, I don’t think they have any P6 PSLE batches yet. Notwithstanding, considering that the demographics of the 4 schools are quite similar, I don’t think you should expect a wide disparity in terms of % to Express, NA or NT.
