Your foot reflex package will likely have its expiry date extended. Or even if not, the credits are still kept inside there to be redeemed whenever they re-open. I've been calling for tuition / enrichment centres' closure on other social media platforms, as I believe there might be some LOA and family members who could be infected in the coming days, if they have not already been. Some SHN folks have infected their parents and siblings. But srsly zac's mom, why the hoo-ha still? Haven't they agreed to give discounts or refund to parents next-term? What else can they do? You just got to make do with whatever solutions they have offered. I can't even ask my parlour to refund my $300 nor enjoy a virtual food massage service, but you at least get 5 weeks of worksheets, video tutorials, supplementary notes, answer keys, marked compos in pdf and 2 hrs of e-coaching.It's not like it's the tuition centres fault, right? They were all caught unawares last night too. The govt didn't give them advance notice. Isn't that acceptable in extreme times like now? SG tuition centres are not like those in HK and TW which are well-prepared with BCPs due to frequent typhoons. We should all the more be accommodating to our local tuition centres who are trying to their best to do all they can to help our kids. Most tuition centres are also worried about rental issues and rebates.
I've no issue how centres deliver their lessons. Zoom is very effective IMO. Not sure about BBB which you've asked in the other tuition thread. Have you even tried it yourself before? You can see the tutor and what she's writing on the worksheet, but you cannot see your other tuition mates, which is good because they won't get to wave at one another or msg among themselves while the tutor is teaching. You can hear everyone's Q&A though. It also protects the privacy of minors. I guess your centre wants all lessons to be logged on its own in-house platform so mgmt can monitor if their tutors are slacking or following the prescribed lesson outline.
Zoom is fantastic. Yes Iâve tried it. The in-house BBB on the other hand is total crap. No one can see each other at all, they can only community via texting in the chat box. Imagine all the stupid spammers. Tutor can give warning but she canât kick them out. This week they âimprovedâ it by enabling audio. Guess what, thereâs so much white noise that the teacherâs voice is drowned out. And yup the spammers and conversing with each other via audio (AND text) and tutor still canât kick them out.
It is not the tutorsâ fault (their hands are tied) - itâs the managementâs fault. At $100 per lesson this is the total crap I get. -

In fact, I already asked her to read this advisory from MOM and she can still say that it does not mean she cannot go out right. She also told me there are only 5 to 6 people in her usual clique of friends. Her friendsâ employers allow them to go out too. You can imagine how tough it is trying to reason out with them. I hope MOM officers will do a good job in dispersing these helpers. I believe there are other employers who are in the same situation as me. If I can lock her up, I will but ...... sigh!

Lee Ah Mooi cluster also the same. Just announced as a new cluster, old folk there passed on already.
For the earlier cases, the old folks appear to survive longer inside ICU, even the Wuhan uncle also recovered. Either covid-19 virus had mutated or the old folks fell sick, became breathless or coughed until very jialak then got diagnosed?
Or for earlier cases, 10 doctors looked after 1 patients, but now, the doctors all overly stretched and were burnt out? -

Iâve to learn to be tough with them overnight (not my character but hv to grow up to be tough to handle). Itâs their usual ruse, yr helper will tell u other eyers also allow & their frds will tell their eyers same stores just to get their âfreedomâ. If uâre fortunate enuf to explain this is a life & death issue & SG govt here trying to protect ppl fr getting COVID, some will cooperate.

Those that will not uâstand yr instructions & do not cooperate, uâve no choice but let them go with a warning tt once MOM finds them & they get their WP cancelled it is on record & they cannot come back to SG to find jobs. No more future approval of WP. Altho itâs my belief tt they will then cooperate (no matter how reluctantly to forgo their freedom to be happy with their frds) owise they face the fate of repatriation back to Philippines which is worse! Their own President Dutetere warm the Filipinos not to go out owise he gave orders to just âshootâ. Not my words.
If after presenting these serious orders fr both govts & she still insists, Iâll suggest u prepare to go w/o her. Iâve since moved on to other countries for more cooperate helpers. I just donât want to be stressed by all their excuses, arguments & manipulation. Plain tired out by them & I canât focus getting on with my family needs which is my priority.

@ lee_yl I wld be on the same thinking that our medical team wld hv gotten more tired out. Some might be discouraged as colleagues catching the virus themselves fr constant over-exposure to the potent virus. Yâday when getting some o/s documents fr SGH for my late FIL, overheard staff conversation theyâve orders to take on 12-hour shifts.
This is before LHLâs announcement for WFM & HBL for sch students till 4 May. Iâm sure our medical professionals hv just as much family needs to settle whilst having to dedicate themselves to their increasing patients.
Hope the medical professionals reboot their spirit. Iâm thinking of doing sth for them. -
