Lessons at home!

I believe many of the teachers do not even know that they are not supposed to assign homework/ worksheet in PDF format. Unless we purchase the PDF edit licence, students are unable to save the work. Answers are gone when they re-open the PDF worksheet.
Alternatively, the kid needs to copy and paste the questions in Microsoft word, then type their answers there in Microsoft word and not those PDF files. Parents must be there to help otherwise how we expect the little ones to be able to do it on their own.
Just do hard copy printout of the worksheets and activity books is the best. Problems solved and save on electricity too. -
If you know of students needing tutoring support during this HBL period, try:
https://covidtutoringsupport.weebly.com/
It is an initiative of a bunch of university students who are offering free help for secondary and JC students who do not have access to private tutoring or online tutoring.
[I am not involved in this at all. Just passing on the word.] -

I also prefer hardcopy. Then teacher just teach via zoom if necessary. But my primary 2 girl enjoy the online lessons. More fun to her.

Very busy...have to keep checking the schedule. Learn how to appreciate the Teachers.
My Sec 4 girl is independent so no issue. -
I just purchased the PDF editor. There is a promotion and it is only $8.70 now.

Guess Zoom had not envisioned that its app would become this popular this rapidly amongst the not-so-security-aware masses, but they are moving to beef up security, π

Seriously, Zoom is a great app given the solutions it offers to even non-paying users!
P.S. 1 of the alternatives (cnet report) suggested is Microsoft Teams, which I'd agree is more fantastic (cos there's OneNote, Files, Chats, etcetera to drop off completed assignments, email..., all on 1 platform), but only for paying users, so...
