For the past few years, there's balloting for those staying 1-2 km from the school. I'm also staying 1-2 km from the school, had signed up as PV to be eligible to register under phase 2B. So far, there were no balloting under phase 2B.
You may download the PV application form from the following link:

Your child was born in Yr 2005, you'll need to apply as PV now, as you'll need to start clocking in the hours from June this year. -
Hi mummies,
I wonder if there is any open house this year for us to view the school premises? -

Hi,
Thanks for the info.

For the mother tongue enrichment class for P1, does it spell "end-of-the road" for any students not making it?

I don't think so. For my daughter (P2 this year), there are those who were not in the enrichment class last year, being recommended to the MT enrichment class this year. And also those who were in the enrichment class but were not recommended for enrichment class this year. So, the pupils don't really \"lose out\" even if they are not in the enrichment class.
But, something to note which is different from last year. This year, for P2 Chinese in enrichment class (I'm not sure about P1 this year). they use Higher Chinese text book, different text books from those used by core module class. I noted there are more passages in the Higher Chinese text books. However, all students are only tested based on the core modules syllabus. -

Came back today from meet parents session for P1. The MT teacher also assured me that considerations will also be given after next 2 terms (review every 6 months). The teacher also told me that actually in KCPPS, quite a handful of MT teachers are actually contract teachers and some didn't even gone through NIE training, a bit funny. So I actually concluded that MOE is not emphasizing on MT, but unwilling to giveup MT, schools are allowed to give enrichment for MT but syllabus for enrichment not tested at all. -

pardon me. but ya conclusion very no link.
there's also a shortage of English teachers island-wide.
One school I know of is actually surviving on 3 relief (not even contract) EL teachers.
does that mean MOE is not emphasizing on English?
