Yes @Hendon, its a slim chance that CHIJ TPY may even open up for ballot for outside of 2km but got nothing to lose to try.

Because ATS is our only 1km school, that leaves us with no choice but to try applying for it at 2C. My preferred school was actually Kuo Chuan as its not that far by car but they rejected me for my PV application last year. so... well... it is what it is.

Assuming logistics / transport isn't a concern, and you are more concern about affiliation, another possible school that you can look at is CHIJ OLGC. While it's not the most convenient school to get to, in terms of traveling by car, it shouldn't be that much further than KCPPS or CHIJ TP. The school is also likely to be quicker for you to get to (AMK Ave 1 -> Li Hwan Dr -> Burghley Dr).

I’ve took a look at the pass results up to 2017 on the forums it seems that PLMGS 2C odds for <1km is almost 100%. Any one have the result for last 2 years?

You can only try if there is even chance for >2km for IJ TPY, which based on previous years stats is unlikely. There was balloting for 1-2km last year which was a low birth year! IJ TPY is popular. But like the other post about IJ OLGC which is a quick drive via AMK Ave 1, you should look at that too. One other thing you may like to consider beside academic is values and the value of a single gendered school for building your DD relationships. I think MCS, IJ OLGC are good options for your consideration.

Need your advices again. Am asking for a friend this time who is trying to decide which address she will use for this years registration. They have a dd and are deciding btw SNGS or SCGS.

At SNGS, they will be within 1km and can try at 2b and 2c. At SCGS, it will be one try at 2C but also within 1km.

I told her SNGS at both phases are more competitive than SCGS though she has two tries. But she’s worried stay SNGS might be too pressurizing for her gal.

Statistically, which school will give her a better chance?
