Canossian has 4 classes of 30pax, already 2 classes filled for phase 1, unlikely to have vacancies for SPR. Canossa chatgroup is hot!
CCPS Phase 2B is fine. Undersubscribed
Since you don't seem to mind the distance from Orchard, you can consider Canossian Catholic Pri School, which is slightly nearer but it is co-ed. Small classes and generally positive feedback all around.Hendon\" post_id=\"1979138\" time=\"1591105089\" user_id=\"142376:
Hi Zac‘’mummy , thank you very much for your opinion. I watch the video from St Gabriel. Actually I have some idea about this type of school. They are not really competitive style like some old boys school.
In HK, my son studied in a very “hard working class work” nursery. So he is very familiar to writing and reading. BUT he looks like not happy in the school. After we move to SG, I send him to SJC . He is quite enjoy learning and happy with the teachers and classmate.
So I feel St Gabriel is like a fun and relax school. -

Even if the numbers double due to the school admitting both genders now, it’s still less than 60.

Furthermore, CCPS historical numbers for the rest of the phases are generally underwhelming, with places carried over to Phase 2CS. I don’t see any reasons why that would change for this year. -

Definitely, when you are making decisions without information in front of you, it's always much more scary. We might see many unpredictable outcomes :skeptical:
Tough for parents wanting to play the odds this year with likelihood of lack of information before each phase closes. Any truly fully online live system may only be ready for the 2021 registration process.
As for those hoping to hear \"live updates\" from MOE from all the online forms submitted before 2C, someone is manually checking each form against documents provided... really I hope you don't count on live updates! -

Cedar Primary School vs Bendemeer Primary School, which is better?
Kindly share your thoughts if any. Thank you. -

Better is a subjective term. One man’s meat is another man’s poison.

Are you considering the schools for P2C? Which is nearer? Which is more convenient? -
This year is really a game changer. Previously those hot schools, during registration, they have the school staff around and is able to reject parents who are no longer eligible due to distance once the school is over subscribed.
For this year without this information, anyone can just go online and register and likely they don’t even know if the school is over subscribed, and whether there is balloting or not thus wasting their 2B, 2C, 2CS chance. -

yes, this is the potential risk because scaly, one SC kid whose parent stay beyond 2 km submitted registration, then as more and more other parents come in to register under less than 1 km, or beyond (1 to 2 km), until this \"> 2km\" get forced out of the chance to ballot, also not aware what's going on, still thinking that she got chance to ballot

unless
MOE made the registration info online real-time, like stock-market, and must break-down by (distance range + citizenship SC or PR), not put one big lump sum figure up there, without any breakdown by distance, people also will be lost
last year, when some parents called up asked admin for distance break-down, some schools' admin don't bother to reply
