Chinese textbook 6B ends with a chapter on graduation. Although I agree the kids wouldn’t have real life experience with it (yet).

I think is luckiest day for my daughter compared yesterday's CL. She came back happily today. :rahrah: She told me teacher was smiling when she answered. Most importantly she discuss with me what she had done. I think her answer quite well as she relate the COVID-19 topic too. She told me she will participant in this graduation concert to build better relationship with peer as COVID-19 now, we can't meet each other frequently. ...

Though my DS did not do EL oral today, he said graduation topic is not too difficult as they have written so many compositions on Graduation, so the ideas will be there. Don't worry too much. Sometimes you may never know when they will surprise you in a good way.

Finally, Oral is over. Fortunately, DD is day 1 for EL and day 2 for CL. The reverse will be too challenging for her as her spoken mandarin is not strong. Graduation and concert is unexpected too.
Anyway, let the kids focus on the remaining components. Jiayou! -

The tough part was due to the fact that the picture has no others word to help kids to answers but my boy said the tcr prompts helped him to elaborate .
Anyway , there is no right or wrong answers In oral . The child Has to elaborate to supports his points .
I consoled my boy that he did well and good thing oral is over and embrace the written exam.
