All About Math Olympiad Training & Questions

Maths hub is conducting maths olympiad training for parents at $500, for 2 sesssions of 3 hrs. My gosh, it is $83 per hour!! (note not individual session, but group session). I almost can't believe my eyes. Which parent would ever pay such an exorbitant rate??? Furthermore, there are so many olympiad books for primary school students available in the bookstores, that cost less than $20 each. It would be easy for parents to understand the solutions provided, even if their children have difficulty understanding them.

perhaps those parents who earn more than $83 per hour will outsource MO tuition.....

And when wil the certs be given out? :?

i think they get their certs when term opens. We did include it in the DSA application.

The problem in math olympiad is knowing how to do the question. As long as you can figure out the method in a minute, that would increase your speed greatly.

the most important fundamental skill is comfortable mental arithmetic skills. The student better knows his/her 12 by 12 times table. Accuracy is as important as knowing how to do because there is no partialmarks awarded for working unless it's the second round of certain competitions.
