Does your child kiss you on the lips?

I let my child kiss me on the lips ONLY if I'm not sick. Otherwise it's a no-no. Better enjoy this mother-daughter bonding when she is still young. The time will come when she may feel awkward kissing her papa and mama on the lips. :dowan:

My DS1 and DS2 kisses me on the lips since their young but I think DS1 is outgrowing this soon (P3)

DS used to kiss (well, not really a kiss, but a peck) on the lips too, and I used to hug and kiss him on the cheek when sending him off to school. Now that he is in Sec 1, he has grown into a distant, moody teenager who wouldn't even let me touch him on the shoulder. He shrugs my hand off.
So markfch, enjoy it while you can. Your DS will eventually outgrow it. -

DH always tell me not to kiss or hug DS too much now that he's older (P3), ...DH said I should be the one to 'outgrow' this habit first coz to him, this action of hugging & kissing kind of 'girlish'...but I know once DS outgrow it I'm really gonna miss it

hey parents, not all teens will resist your hugs. I’m happy to share that I still share hugs and kisses (cheeks nia) with my ds (sec1) and dd (jc2).
Occasionally, we hold hands too when we’re out. -
My daughter squeeze my butt and sticks out her forehead to receive a kiss whenever I drop her off at school. :lol:
After school, she will hand me her schoolbags and wait to receive a squeeze from this poor, heavily laden with bags and umbrella mother before grabbing my hand for the walk home.
I miss the kiss on the lips. She stopped doing it after she became paranoid since starting P1 and learning abt HFMD. Even up to now, she will not share drinks or food with anyone except with me. Even then, she will ask if I've a mouth ulcer first. :roll: -
ds1 now will only plant his lips on my cheek for 1/100 of a second...no kissing sound.
ds2 at times will want to lick my face! :lol: -
My DS (2 yrs) still kisses me and my DH on the lips, although he loves hugging just as much! It's still nice to feel your kid's love through this physical moments. We should be greatful at moments like this. When they grow up, they'll eventually outgrow the ritual and we, parents, might just be surprised to be missing it by then.
