Seems this year PSLE results are better. A lot of happy faces in my DS school. DS slightly exceeded expectation. Not sure about Cutoff whether it might go up or not..!!
More 250 -259 for our school but fewer 260 and above

Just got result of my daughter, in it It prints 'Secondary School Course Eligible For : Express', Does it mean that we cannot apply IP/IB school even if her score is 255? Anyone knows it?

IP/IB is deemed an express course.

          :thankyou:

Hi parents, I got 265(+2 HCL) for PSLE, and now I’m not very sure which school to go to. I’m living in Sengkang and what I’m thinking is either Dunman, Hwa Chong, Raffles or Catholic High. Anyone has any suggestions for me? It would be helpful, thanks!

Hi, question regarding choice. Score 260+2. RI first choice and HCI second choice.

If we put RI first and cannot get in, then when being considered for HCI - our score of 262 will be considered first compared to someone who got lower eg 261 but put HCI as first choice . Is this correct?

                  You under Tscore this year,
ranking of your 6 schools don't come into play at all. Only from next year 2021 AL kick in, then ranking of 6-choices schools become important, don't confuse yourself

                  As long as your son's
260 +2, equal Total 262 is able to meet Hwa Chong Cut off point this year, he will be able to enter

                  Unless ...

This year, Hwa Chong Cut off point happen to be 262 and a student gets Cut off at a much higher trailing decimal point, before your son's turn, then you will need to appeal.

                  So far,
based on past years' record, Hwa Chong Cut off point seldom exceed 261

Short answer : yes. Order of choice does not matter.
Long answer: I don’t know how to give a long answer.

Hi parents, I got 265(+2 HCL) for PSLE, and now I'm not very sure which school to go to. I'm living in Sengkang and what I'm thinking is either Dunman, Hwa Chong, Raffles or Catholic High. Anyone has any suggestions for me? It would be helpful, thanks!
You stay in Sengkang, Dunman High is too far from your house, forget about Dunman bec the travelling to and fro is very tiring, unless your family hire a chauffeur to fetch u daily to and fro, including after-Cca-activities end around 6.30 pm, for the next 6 years

                        Another way is
Since is school holiday now and u have the time, try taking bus and mrt from your house to Dunman High. Try out one week, see how u feel about the distance travel, because this is going to be the reality facing u for next 6 years, if u choose Dunman High. That will answer your own qn

Can consider RI, Hwa Chong, Catholic High, these 3

                        With 267 (Bec 265 +2),

                        - to Hwa Chong and to Catholic High (IP), no problem, can enter readily. Is a matter of which one u prefer -

To Hwa Chong in year 5, or
To Eunoia Junior College in year 5 ?

                        With 265,
                        - you can also enter RI

RI will ignore your +2 HCL, because RI is non SAP school

Of these 3 schools, which school u want, will depend on

                        - which kind of school culture u prefer or can thrive in or survive in ? What kind of environment suits you well ?

                        - what kind of challenging Talent Development programme exist and are available and what Cca activities u are seeking after ?

You need to know yourself well, identify your own interests and passion, or what motivate and spur you on

                        Also,
                        at 265,
you do qualify for ESIS, can make use of this to apply for RI / Hwa Chong independent schools
