Does your child kiss you on the lips?

not true leh.. my dh also loves kissing dd on the lips too. but i get more chances la since i spend more time with her :love: anyway we also teach dd only can kiss papa and mama like that and not other people (cos of hygiene). personally its also reserved for the closest people to her.


some more, i was thinking if she grow up kissing other boys and girls, she may think its perfectly fine to do so even when she's in her teens... no boys for obvious reasons, no girls becos she may become sexually disoriented :lol:

yalor, DH says I should not make it a habit, especially kissing him goodbye at the school gate or in front of the students care... :roll: I later learnt that DS was being 'teased' by some boys when they saw me pecking his cheeks Did I embarrased DS? :?

As parents, I don't think we will \"outgrow\" this habit because in our eyes, they still be our beloved ds or dd.

DD will kiss us on our cheeks and lips and even hands for no reason. She is super affectionate. DH loves to kiss her on the lips. DS on the other hand is jie pi so he will not kiss us on the lips unless tricked into doing so. He will however still hug and kiss us on our cheeks and sometimes all over my face except for my lips.


I had to make sure DD does not kiss or let anyone else kiss her on her lips except for DH and myself. And now that she is 7yrs old, I have been telling DH to restrict to cheeks only but it has become so much of a habit that it takes constant reminders.

In my family, I still kiss my maternal aunts and uncles on their cheeks when I meet them. My Dad does not like such show of affections, he calls them ang moh style, so with my parents, I don’t even usually hug them. However, I hope that my kids will not stop giving us kisses and hugs no matter how old they are.

yes yes! dd is also like that (but to me only). she will be holding my hand one minute, then quietly snitch a kiss (light one) from my hand...so sweet :love:

Ya, my dh1 (4 yro) loves to kiss us. Enjoy when they still young b4 married.....

Used to. We stop when I saw my kids (girl & boy) then age 6 and 4 give a quick peck on the mouth on each other. They did not know that it is wrong. They thought that it is normal for everyone in the family to give a quick peck on the mouth. Luckily I spot it early.

Both of mine still do…DD (2yo) kisses both mom and dad on lips…and any other body parts, really…DS(4yo) kisses mom on lips, dad anywhere else…maybe cos my hubby doesn’t always shave? i donno…but with me, both of them love to kiss all over…just like i love to kiss them all over! or sometimes i bite them (lovingly/playfully)…all over…toes, eyebrows, armpits, bums, knees, etc…you name it, i’ve kissed/bitten!
