Hi all, I would like to seek your opinion on these 2 schools: Crescent Girls' school and TKGS.
Which is better? CGS in much closer to my house than TKGS. Please describe the teachers, students and environment there. Thank you!

I don't know much about CGS, but speaking from experience, one will definitely enjoy the time spent in TKGS. Most of the students whom I know who went to TKGS, including my sister and me, did not regret their decision. The teachers there are firm thus they manage to instill discipline in TKGS students. With that being said, the teachers in TKGS are kind-hearted and not too fierce, hence most of the students are able to maintain good relations with their teachers. The students in TKGS not only work hard and play hard, but they also share a strong bond among themselves with the TKGS school spirit being extremely strong. In terms of physical environment, TKGS is currently at a fairly new campus, with facilities such as an indoor sports hall, a gym, an art gallery, an open field, a garden with a pond, and many other cool amenities.
Hope this helped you and if you need any more info about TKGS, feel free to ask me. šŸ˜„

CGS would be a better choice since it is closer to your home.

Any TKGS student from 2020 Sec 4 taken O-level Economics this year

        or
2019 Sec 4 student taken Econs last year

        or
2018 Sec 4 student taken Econs two years ago

        ?

Was the Econs (O-level) paper easy or difficult ?

For past 2 years (2019, 2018), what was the percentage of Quality passes (grade A, comprising A1 and A2), for O level subjects

        - Economics

        - History humanities, both Elective & Core (full) ?

        - Geography humanities, both Elective & Core (full) ?

Hi, I am looking for private transportation from West (near Beauty World MRT) to TKGS every morning from Monday to Friday. Appreciate if there is any recommendation or contact can be referred. Wish all girls a blessed new year!

CGS in much closer to my house than TKGS.

Please describe the teachers, students and environment there. Thank you!
                      take note

all 2021 end of Sec 2 TKGS girls (students), born in Y2007, after Term 4 year-end exam in October,
choosing next year 2022 Sec 3 subject combination :-

If you intend to take up GCE \"O\" level Economics (SEAB \" 2286 \" exam subject code)
                      in Sec (3 & 4) O-level -

you are allowed to choose (\"Double \" Pure Sciences

                      +

                      Double Humanities ) subject combination.

                      TKGS school
                      does NOT allow

end of Sec 2 students to take up
                      \"Triple\" Pure Sciences
(ie. Pure Physics, Pure Chem, Pure Bio) subject combination together with Economics (2286)

                      because

(Social Studies + Elective History / Geography / Literature),
                      another Humanities subject,
is already compulsory, a rule set by SEAB / MOE.

                      It is compulsory for ALL
                      GCE O-level students in Singapore,
                      to take up

( Social Studies + an Elective ), from Sec 3 onwards.

                      ===========================

You are asking for \"differences\", between TKGS and CGS ?

Throughout the entire Singapore, TKGS is the only \"All Girls\" Secondary school, that offer GCE \"O\" level Economics, from Upper Sec 3 onwards.

                      In contrast,

                      Crescent Girls Secondary (CGS) and

                      Cedar Girls Secondary,

                      do NOT
offer GCE O-level \"Economics\" subject at all.

                      You asked,
                      \"which is better ? \"

If your daughter is keen in taking up Sec 3 Econs, TKGS is better because she can only learn Econs at TKGS and not at any other All-Girls school !

When your daughter is applying for DSA in Primary 6,
                      before take PSLE,

                      it is important (crucial) that
try to factor in your daughter's future two years' down-the-road intended planned out Sec 3 subject combination, as well

                      These three \"All Girls\" schools -
(TKGS / Crescent Girls / Cedar Girls O-level curriculum path ) Secondary schools :-

                      do Not have
affliation to any Junior College, at all. However, you do not need any affliation advantage, if your daughter

                      1)

is able to secure 2 discount points for her Cca, at the end of Sec 4

                      And

                      2)

is able to secure another further two more discount points for L1R5, if she is taking Higher Chinese (at O-level).

                        Applicants seeking Transfer

2021 Sec 2 students (born 2007) contemplating seeking Transfer into TKGS,
                        please note that
currently, no vacancy arise. Full house

After Sec 2 year-end exam is over, you may contact school in early October, ask if any vacancy arise when TKGS students withdraw from school.
