To Work Or Not To Work

For me itโs difficult to work and take care of my kids at the same time. However, my work gives me a sense purpose in life as well.

Imagine what it is like to be so competent in your skill that you develop, and the friends that you build up, and the time management that you have in organizing your life in such a way that you can have the purpose in life, the money w/o the problems, and time you want.
Imagine what it is like to do it confidently?
Imagine you can learn a way to achieve it, are you driven enough to learn and succeed?

You definitely can do it with proper planning and suitable working hours like what I do. Working can give u a sense of achievement but looking after children n watch them grow is definitely priceless! -
Hi All,
Recently I have been thinking quite abit about my ds1 pri one admission for next year. Although i haven't really set my mind on anything yet but i'm thinking along the line like maybe will stop my current job when the time is nearer and stay home to help him with the transition, roughly plan to stop working for about 1 year or so. During that 1 year i will continue to put my younger son who is 19 months old in his cc now. Probably will go look for some 4-5 hrs part time in the morning to occupy myself and set to pick my ds1 after he end his school and spend the rest of the afternoon just with him to go through his work or bond with him? I believe many of you here will wonder why 1 year only? hmm..cos of a few reasons...
- he has very short attention span i foresee he may need extra coaching at home until he settle down in his new school life?
- We have went around scouting for student care unfortunately there are very few in Sengkang and already has long waiting list.
-Although fil offers to look after but we are not keen cos we rather not want any conflict.
- Also, I'm a little tired of working wanted to take a break for a short while and take this chance to look into another industry which my part time might give me some insights? so i thought why not?
i'm considering if i'm doing the right thing? After all stopping work means we will only have single income to survive on..all the budgets have to tighten and use carefully.
Haiz..still thinking... -
Some food for thought for you.

Dear, I am having same situation here, my son is going to P1 next year, my second son is now 23rd month old. I have decided to quit my day job and my last day is few days away from now. But I will quit for good, and just do some online biz part-time. Although the income will drop but I think it is worthwhile. Seeing my babies growing is priceless. Money can never buy back those precious time you have spent with kids...Hope you are making a right choice...:)Hi All,

Imagine what it is like to have time, and do what you like?
Imagine what it is like to be able to spend time with family, while having an income?
If you can have the above, would you want to pursue it?

Any SAHMs planning to go back to work?
I am. I have been staying at home for the past 11 years, thinking to go back to work since my 2 kids are in secondary school now. I feel a bit lost, donโt know where to start. I was from the IT industry but I donโt think I can go back there, am thinking to do admin work. Care to share your experience?
TIA.
