All About Primary Schools' Balloting History

Certainly hope you'll get in at Phase 2B, then nothing to worry at 2C. But in the event, Phase 2B wasn't successful, I won't go for ACSJ as there is usually no chance to ballot for 1-2 km applicants.
At 1-2 km, the chance at SJIJ is better although in recent years, it is also getting to be v popular where SC within 1km applicants had to ballot last year. This year, heard that there would be balloting for 1-2 km applicants, but for v small number of spaces. I don't see why you should give up ACSP at Phase 2C since it's within 1km to your place, at least there is opportunity for you to ballot. Nearer to your registration time, you can join individual school group chats. The parents there take turn to call schools and report number of applicants by distance on group chats. You can use those info to make a much better decision on whether to place your bet on ACSP or SJIJ.bindi123\" post_id=\"2033437\" time=\"1628259962\" user_id=\"123933:
Hi, I am within 1km with ACS(P) and 1-2km of ACS(J) and SJIJ. My intention is to apply for Phase 2B with ACS(P) and either of the 1-2km schools for Phase 2C. Between ACS(J) and SJIJ, which has a higher chance to get in for 1-2km Phase 2c? No point trying 2C for ACS(P) again isn't it? Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

How can I find out the balloting history for <1km for Phase 2B ACS(P)? I only recall everyone gotta ballot even for <1km ...

Following this year's ACS(P) for Phase 2c <1km, the ratio is almost 1:2, a 50-50 chance. So stressful. If my boy doesn't get in, then he would be randomly posted to a school nearby isn't it?
How do we find out about these school group chats? Are they listed somewhere on this site?Touch_me_not\" post_id=\"2033443\" time=\"1628262479\" user_id=\"187786:

I will suggest that you start with MOE website and https://www.moe.gov.sg/primary/p1-registration/registration-phases-key-dates.

Based on the info that you have provided, the approach that would maximise your chances would be:
Phase 2B - ACSP
Phase 2C - ACSP
Phase 2CS - Farrer Park Primary School (or another school with vacancies of your choosing) -

My daughter has gotten a place in Marymount convent in Phase 2C
However, I am considering withdrawing her from Marymount convent and applying for OLGC at Phase 2CS. They have 11 vacancies left. How likely will we get in without balloting?
Some background: We are within 1KM for OLGC and out of 2KM for Marymount. I had wanted to apply for OLGC in phase 2C but missed the registration deadline. -

It should be rather close between a balloting for within 1km or 1-2km. It does seem to have a handful within 1km. Possible excess may come from Yangzheng and Kuo Chuan. Rosyth folks should be 1-2km category. -

Thank you Lexy,
It does seem to have a number of spill-over from the other schools in the area. There isn't any number from 2020 to compare as vacancies was all taken up by Phase 2C.
11 is such a close call, I'm not sure if I should risk it. I guess I can only monitor the numbers during the registration phase itself:( -

Olgc admin was very helpful during phase 2C when parents kept calling them this year. -

Thank you Jerseyiv,
I'll do that. I need to withdraw from Marymount before I can register for OLGC, so I guess i need to decide by the morning of last day of registration, to ensure that I meet the deadline.
Is there typically a surge of registration on the last day? Is it too calling it too close If I only decide at noon on the closing date? -

Less likely for someone who already gotten a place in 2C to give it up and go for another round for a school within 1km at phase 2Cs.
If you are within 1km and no school yet, will rather submit first or sit on the fence. The more people who sit on the fence would mean they are >1km or those similar situation as yours.
Its a judgement call, ask yourself what buffer is needed for you to make the move and if you can take the risk. -
