which subject and how often? I guess for Chinese it is possible to need to double check once in a blue moon because sometimes there can be more than one answer. My own personal opinion is that especially since science is so hard nowadays and pri sch science is basically following the syllabus sometimes it can be hard for non sch tchers or specialists to pinpoint what the questions are testing. I closed one eye as i dont really follow up.I think about two months till my child did badly for her first test.Then, I realised the problem and fired.

To Lynn and all the other parents, just wondering how many of you will ask to check the tutor’s qualifications? For those who hire through a tuition agency, I think it’s kinda an unofficial miscommunication that the parents will expect the agent to check but the agent will expect the parents to check.
Just another fact of life that there is not much quality check in the tuition industry. Parents beware if any tutor claim to be moe-registered. -

I usually get tutor via words of mouth and also how the tutor’s student been doing.But, not very accurate recommendations.
I would say for tuition, if you dont try out the tutor, you will never know how good the tutor is.So, its the matter of gambling… -
I do not normally check the paper qualification as certificate doesnt guarantee that one can teach. Rather, I will sit in for the first lesson. Say abt 1/2 - 1 hr and listen how the tutor teach. Actually I am alrdy very experienced, listen for 15min can judge alrdy! hahaha…

I think teaching is already not easy for the first lesson since the tutor has to slowly understand the student, and now u r probably making the tutor more nervous. Sekali the tutor underperform and got judged badly. If u r experienced does that mean u change tutors alot
