Hi, Im new here. Saw your posting on the comparison of GK and JCK. Could you share with me what is the difference and what made you decide on choosing GK. Im also looking @ JCK & GK for my son. So Im trying to gather more information on these 2 kindergartens. What are the fees like and whats the cost of their enrichment classes. My son will be registering for N2 next year.

              Hi,

For enrichment at JCK, are they held after the 3 hour session or during class time? What is the timing for nursery classes?

                Thanks

hi, perhaps, I can help to answer a couple of queries on JCK.

First of all, they do conduct enrichment classes in chinese drama, art, kindermusik, computing. My boy attended a term on chinese drama that was conducted on every sat morning. But stopped after a term cos found that he was very tired to attend so many enrichment. However, he is very happy in JCK. The kindy emphasis a lot on moral and character development which i feel that this is pretty important.

As for the girl’s uniform, it’s dress type. If not wrong, it’s sleeveless.

Weekly spelling will start for K1 kids for both english and chinese. There are weekly homework too for them. Regular outings are conducted and they will have sports day too.

Overall, it’s a good kindy and very structured. My boy will be going onto K2 next year and my gal onto Nursery.

                        Hi mehx2,

Usually the morning session will be filled up first…I registered my gals for Nursery next year in Feb this year and was quite lucky to get the last 2 slots available after priority goes to the siblings and church members. Perhaps you can try to call the school on the last day of the registering date for siblings/church members and check if they are still slots for the public. In fact, that was what I did and the principal says if I can go to the school right away before 12pm, I will get the last 2 slots…happen my hubby was on leave, so ask him to rush down to pay the deposit.

                        Hi lakesidemum,

Thanks for your sharing…my gals will also be in Nursery next year. They will be taking the school bus. Read from the previous pages that you had wanted to sign up jelic for your ds…is he doing that now? any feedback on maths enrichments as I am also considering that now…

                        Many thanks!
