Hi buds,
I'm wondering how i'd manage too.Mommilicious:
Hi Fettuccine,
May I know how do you manage 3 kids at home?
I'd be joining the 3-babies club soon.
Mommilicious:
Care to share your worries? :hugs:For me, 2 is already a handful. My elder is 6. He will be entering P1 next year. Kinda worried about his transition.

Congrats! Welcome to the 3-babies club!!
Cheers -
Hi Buds,
buds:
Wow....take good care. I have two boys, hoping for another girl but it's just too tiring to handle two, not to say three lah.Sometime January.

buds:
I bought alot of assessment books from Popular but no time to coach him. My younger one needs a lot of attention. I have to sit beside him during his playtime. If your child is in a very play-based childcare you may consider getting a couple of P1 Readiness/Preparation workbooks or assessment books to work with to equip him with the idea of concrete work. (seat work) P1 also hardly any homework to be brought home reali.

buds:
Thank you for the clarification.:hugs:The school buses are labelled with letters/numbers. Children will have tags for identification on which bus to board. (as per the individual bus labels) The teachers also have a list and some schools have colour tagging for children taking the different buses.. The school buses may take longer to adjust in the beginning with regards to timing (punctuality) and such but it will improve as the days go by since all the teachers, parents and children will be more familiar with the routine.
buds:
I wonder if his school practise the above. Maybe I shall call up the school and check.Buddies are usually assigned with the P1s. The buddies are from upper pri. They help the children to familiarize with the canteen vendors, how to queue up and purchase food for recess. Normally parents are also allowed in for the first 3 days. For some children, they bring snacks from home for the first few days or even weeks until they're more comfortable buying from the stalls.

buds:
Oh..my boy is the quiet type. That's my worry.This.... is really trial and error. Guess this is something that we gotta deal with as it comes. While it may not happen while the child is in preschool hence they're not experienced enough to handle such circumstances; our children should know and be comfortable enough to share with us ANYTHING that goes on in school. We've realized over the years that if bullying is not detected early, it CAN pose a challenging emotional ride for the children in the long run. While some children are confident and are outspoken hence being able to better tackle/handle bully issues independently... there are others who may not be upfront about dealing with it. So it depends...
buds:
Oh I am looking forward to the parents' orientation. Some schools also provide parents' orientation so that they understand how the school system works and also get a tour of the school areas.
buds:
That's interesting...I want to do that too!SNAP SNAP SNAPWe were excited when our 2nd daughter started P1 this year. There we were snapping away... capturing the 1st day of sch pics and she was like lookin' at us with a look that says uhmmm... can you go back already? Enuf pictures! Hehehee.. She was oblivious to us being there. She was much happier interacting and playing with her friends.

Hi Fettuccine,
Fettuccine:
What kind of bully issues? Can share? His first year in school had quite a few of bully issues, so I had a stressful time.
Fettuccine:
Is your son studying in one of the top school? In my son's school, I was shocked by the math standards at P1 mid year exam. I don't think his previous kindergartens had ever prepared him for creative thinking skills.
Fettuccine:
:!: Wow...you still can be a PSG at your child's school. That's not easy.I volunteer as PSG at school (twice a week previously).
Fettuccine:
Totally agree. :celebrate:I find I cope best with routines. All chores are the same everyday or week.
Fettuccine:
to keep an Iphone to organise school dates, appointments and to do lists!
Yes..this is a good idea! I will ask my hubby to get me one..hehe. -
sleepy:
Hi sleepy,
Hi Hi
Our kids are the exact same age. I don't have a number 3 though. Envy!
Don't think I can cope with another baby. Too busy coaching my kids in school work and settling their never ending disputes
So your younger child is due for P1 registration too. Same here, this year really very busy for me. I may consider just volunteering at school once a week only. Number 3 is also going to school soon, so hope I can get send her to a good nursery programme. Hopefully, that will also give me a few hours \"off\". Not tired physically at all, just tired of nagging at my kids, lol.
But travelling is expensive for a family of 5. We even have to book family hotel rooms to accomodate comfortably. Its a joy though! -
Hi All, finally... no need go to the office every morning..Instead I go to hubby's office in the morning after sending my DD to her preschool...Do a bit of work for him and by 12 pm, Im off to fetch DD home and from there on, its all my own time.... Just came back from a week's break in KL...Feel so much better and its really a different feeling....No more stress in work and life is so much better....

Hi HappyAvon, congrats! :celebrate:
And an official :welcome: to Club SAHM.
I suppose it will be more fun for you cos
you have only one child to care for at the
moment, unlike some of us SAHMs here..
The novelty does wear off a bit when the
going gets routine. So, setting time off for
yourself will definitely help get away from
the staying home stress. Like fettucine, i
have the nagging syndrome unlike when
i was in the workforce.
Less children in the house, less mess to
clear up = less nagging.
Aniwaes, have fun new stay home momma!
Guess we'll be seeing you here more often. -

I also want...
:congrats: on your new found chapter! -
apologize if I dampen your spirit.:(
these days, I'm so tired...so tired of 'quarrelling' with my 5 year old, nagging at him, asking him to do the right thing, etc...
Just now my boy told me, ''dun shout at me can? just tell me to do this do that until I understand, ok?''
I just want some time to be alone...but I can't...no helper, no parental help, no nothing...
after I cried, I still have to pick things up and another round of fighting is waiting for me...
-
From your postings, smurf... you definitely lack support la. :hugs:
Any friends you still keep in touch with? Mebbe can arrange for
play dates? Hang in there, dear... -
Hi smurf, don't apologize. I think you need this right now :snuggles:
I totally know what you mean about the nagging part. Same with my DD1. Sometimes I get very upset and angry with myself after the 'fight'. Nowadays, after repeating twice and my blood is boiling, I will tell them \"This is the last warning okay, you are making me very angry and I can feel that the Monster Mummy is coming out soon. So if you don't want me to scold and shout at you, then you better ...\"
Most times it works, but sometimes need repetition...
Tiring I agree but what to do.. We just need to hang in there...
Take care dear!
