Hi and congrats. I think either is fine from a risk perspective; #4-#6 or #5-#6 are likely to catch him (if not CHS O).

I'm not sure exactly where you are staying but RVHS and TJC are two other IP options (AL9(D) and AL9 respectively). Roughly speaking, I'd assume TJC is not that much more difficult logistically than DHS or VS but that may not be the case (take note, TJC will also move from 2024-2027 to 2 Tampines Avenue 9).
Good luck, hopefully he will get CHS IP! -

Um... what magic did you use to get the Estimated AL Score percentage?

I just want to point out that whatever indicative cop you see for any school, has already accounted for the affiliated students. So there is no need to be overly concerned to relate the effect of cop for non affiliated students in a sec school where they accept affiliated students.
Hey babyA
Your order of selection looks odd to me, but I noticed that you are leaning towards Catholic schools. I am not overly familiar with Catholic schools, but does your daughter come from affliated primary school of CHIJ SJC?
If yes, then I think CHIJ SJC will be safe for you.
Otherwise, you need to take note that most of those schools you selected have affiliated primary schools, leaving limited vacancies for others.
You may want to consider filling up more with AL15 schools in between, and maybe an AL16 school as safety net.
Good luck, and I hope she gets into the schools of her choices.

Affiliated students have been acceped into the schools for decades. It is not a new thing. In fact, since psle 2019, it has even been mandated that the sec schs need to set aside a min for non affiliated students, vs before that, they could take in everyone.
So again, no need to be overly concerned about the impact of the presence of affiliated pri schools on its cop. -
Hi, My son Al score is 15 and we are staying in Sengkang and are considering below schools
1. Dunman Secondary, Tampines, AL 14
2. Edgefield secondary, Punggol, AL 14
3. Pei Hwa secondary, Sengkang, AL16
4. Holy Innocents, Hougang, AL 15
5. Bowen Secondary, Hougang AL 16
6. Pasir Ris Crest, Pasir Ris, Al 17
Is it too risky to choose first two options with AL14 cutoff? Dunman and Edgefield are his preferred choices and hence keeping it as 1&2, but worried that it might be too risky as it is above his al score.
Any other recommendations or views. Also, a new school Yusof Ishak is starting in Punggol in 2021 any views on this school. Thanks -
Hi parents,
My DS got AL6(P) .
Our choice order
1)HCI (COP 7M)
2)RI (COP 6)
3)NJC (COP 7)
4)RV (COP 9)
5)DHS (COP 8D)
6)ACS IP (COP 7)
Will it be too risky for 1 and 2? Thanks . -

She’s not from any of the affiliated schools. But she’s like to go to a girls school hence you see all 6 choices are not co-Ed. Might you have a better suggestion on how I can order the choices or add others? SMSs (11) is on the list with a view to appeal (but know that it’s going to be hard).
appreciate your thoughts -

Congratulations on the good results. Which school is his dream school? According to last year’s data, if it’s still accurate this year, he will be going to HCI. Your safety net is RV.
